Just because you only use 2 or use 2 effectively because of needing points in Boost energy shield lures ect doesnt mean you only have two damage skills.

5 is frostbite, which is a combonation dps and dot skill (with initial damage and then dot following and a VERY long cooldown)
6. Ice blast - the ice version of firestorm
7. firecloak

You can only be one type of damage.

As dps mage you can only be fire mage or iced mage, you can't be both.

The one I am in love is PVP arena version mage I love it .

I'm not saying mages are op

Other classes are underpowered.

Check what mages have
Cloak (last 2 mins)
E sheild amazing for surviving
2 massive nuke spells which can deal over 6k each and 1 is only 35/35!
2 dot spell (one which does initial damage) lets compare to rend shall we? Does twice as much initial damage and twice as much dot and wow lasts twice as long!
2 fire spell one which has a 4.5 sec cooldown and does over 2.5k! Im telling u now mages have been made to a 1 man band rangers and rogues are useless and u beta people cant admit that u have ****** up!

Check rogues
2k quick(1k on mobs if im lucky cause i cant increase my own damage)
6k sneak which amazingly can go down to 2k after resist and can only be say at start of fight and has a 45 sec cooldown!!!
Assasinate wow under 30% 60 sec cooldown (both of those have a longer cast time then 2 mage skills)
Rend well it sucks 47/35 and 719(wothout resist) dot wtf my mates incin does 2.2k at 48/35!
A 6 sec cloak
400 damage life steal... Wow amazing would rather hve a nuke so i dont take any damage!

Then wow super amazing i have auto FYI morons i dont hit while im casting skills so guess what they mean jack. Rangers are the same they suck too! Then i have mana problems ffs admin sort out your game! Mages are miles above every other class! Mages dont need a need buff us all shorten my cooldowns! Help with my massively stupid mana problems. Everyone has made suggestions time an time again do you even read them!

Sounds to me like you should make one and then go on to be the highest casting mage on server with your 6k dmg...

Mages are overpowered i knew it would happen. 6k shards 6k ice blast(with damage overtime) 2k incin 2.5k firebolt 3-4k forestorm are you frggin joking all the cooldown a are less then mine they can now spam skills! Just have energy issues. Its a joke OTM have made this a 1 class game. Beta testers have failed in this department for sure!

How about rogues auto attack 900+ each 1,675 seconds and a 10k+ skill hit...( rankings based,highest ive seen on normal mob close to 7k ).
Yes, we do some damage, but like posts before said it takes tons of energy to manage that damage.

At least with a mage in your group leveling is faster oh and yeah.. I agree but really i like them doing that kind of damage. (All we need is OTM to make us do damage like that too maybe not as high but just a bit more damage would help) OTM done a wonderful job and I would like to tell them thank you and the wait was worth it.

I'm not asking mages to be nerfed here. No rogues are not kings ask a high good mage on my server beat me on aggy every time. Infact we did 2 different aggy back to back the other day 1 he was on his rogue and other he was on mage. Te teams was almost identical now when he was on mage 8 min aggy on rogue 10 min. His rogue has full radiant. His mage gets every aggy kill. I was spamming skills and pots with all my dps gear an on a combo! He wins.

Yes he does hit 6k shards and 6k iceblast. On mobs his same lvl i have been lvling with him just. His cooldown is 15 secs and 20 secs. For lvling purposes he takes an average of around 5-10 secs to kill 2 star mobs his lvl shard blast ice lure and incin.

You act like rogues dont have energy problems? I have 500 energy and skills taking half that. You don't understand u all hve no clue i have been *** over meaning to be the best dps class and again i get shafted cause OTM have no clue what they doing.? Mages have potential to be the best by a mile. Mages are currently the best class in game end of and every class needs a massive boost to keep up.

I am one of best rogues on all server(like it or not its true) and i cant get kills after a update which is ment to friggin fox this problem!? My class has been shafted again cause lack of knowledge and btw i just tested lifedrain and shadowstrike what sucky skills 250-300 hp back thanks OTM not. Oww and 700 damage but then i cant use sneaky its friggin bollocks! And its evadable wtf!!!

Yes I can hit hard and can get the kill every other mob when leveling. But bosswise, ice mages are not overpowered.
Some of you are imagining we have limitless points that we put into spells that cost zero energy. Try playing a mage before you start crying OP OP

I have a mage. A lvl 30+ sacrafice with a bit of regen gear does fine! Then u hve 4 skills to max which can all be damage.

Dont act like i dont know cause come rosemerta and watch pres majic level and boss ill even let u in groups. He gets 90% on leveling and bosses i cant touch him and im ment to be the top dps class? Full new lix and radiant with godly rings and quickstrike dragon ring?

So are we debating average players and skill sets or is this post only about the top 10 or 20 mages in CH?

I go all 4 dps spells but I don't have super gear that gives me anything like the numbers being posted. Without lures im not hitting anything for over 3k. Sure there may be a few op mages out there but most of us are just well rounded players that can do a lot with different builds.

Also a minor note about solo leveling. Currently the highest level player in the game is a solo leveler. He is not a mage.

All mage gear is still available to be an overpowered rogue i need radiant which is available once a month if that! The simple fact that your not at top by have potential to get better. And you would still beable to get close to my dps is a joke. I am classed as an overpowered rogue comapred to other rogues i beat pretty much 100% of all rogues on servers. And pres beats alot of mages so im saying an overpowered rogue vs overpowered mage. Rogue should have higher dps.

Just to let u know my gear 4 goldfirfang rings amulet of anilation dagger dreadbone charm new lux axe 2 str dagger brace 1 sneak and 1 rend frozen dagger or bone dagger full radiant new lux helm. I also have quickstrike dragon and rend dragon ring. Surely on a boss i should win?
