It's my understanding that the review process can take anywhere from days to weeks. I could be wrong though.

Terribly frustrated with this whole situation. There should have been a way to ensure that the proper testing was done beforehand. Any fixes, like in game bugs, could be easily fixed with the patch server. So why is this issue different?

A beta tester said he complained about ths problem and no one listened so he gave up and waited for us to start fussing so thy would fix it

I read some survey thing and they said its usually 3-6 day, 5-6 more likely though.

I doubt there will be any compensation. Tbh I'm already in the process of refunding my last in app purchases used to get ready for the update since I still cannot even run the game and then I will be uninstalling. Found a new mmorpg
