It's frustrating but I'd give One Thumb some time to monitor and see that the changes were a bit harsh. We definitely needed a slight tuning but I agree with you that they went a bit overboard. I'm taking a couple days to clear my head because I've become a bit bitter as well. After that I will start trying different builds again to see if I can make myself competitive.

You see this is what happened to rangers. Like you guys have some points but at the sane time come on, you didn't have our backs when we needed mages support.... You just praised support for making you guys op. I agree sort of and at the same time hold my opinions...

You see this is what happened to rangers. Like you guys have some points but at the sane time come on, you didn't have our backs when we needed mages support.... You just praised support for making you guys op. I agree sort of and at the same time hold my opinions...
"You guys" isn't the best way to word things, I for one am completely for Rangers receiving a notable damage increase as their DPS isn't on par with other classes at the moment. By nature people are going to defend the class they play the most as they have the most to benefit from that said class receiving buffs. However, that doesn't mean our eyes are blind to other class issues.

Decreased energy cost of Ice Blast by 10%
Decreased power of Ice Blast by 45%
Decreased power of Ice Shards by 10%

Decreased power of Firestorm by 20%
Decreased power of Incinerate by 10%
Decreased power of Energy Shield by 25%
Increased recast time of Firestorm by 5 seconds

Well after thousands of alt books were used they totally change the game on us again.

OTM are mages just doomed to a life of broken promises and bieng out dps'd by classes with twice our armor?

I see no point in going on. I am loosing the kill to rogues 20 levels under me again, and rogues have much better armor.

I see no other option but to ask a refund from apple for the hundreds of dollars I spent on this game. Let alone thousands of hours now wasted.

Why would i waste another second of my precious life on this game?

The nerfs in bold were unnecessary. Incinerate needs a bigger nerf imo.

Why is ice mage not an option? I was actually excited to specialise in either ice or fire. Now it seems that fire builds are the only choice.

E-shield should not have been touched. To cost more energy than it protects you is awful imo.

Ice mages have massive cooldowns and should nuke with incredibly high dmg levels and the cooldowns stop it from being op.

Idk. Maybe this will be picked up in an update.

I for one think it was too harsh. For one,mages have never had a good def/armour rating whatsoever since i started playing and this is not fair all they did was decrease mage skills energy shield being dire for mage soloing cause we won't always be in a group.i understand tuning down ice blast cause it was too op but firestorm suffered a bit as well i could understand 10% but 20? And e shield 25% we have never gotten to have awesome damage output and you give us some then take it away? I like it way better than being thrown to support mage but we really need the added damage to at least the fire skills just for the fact that we have lures to cast and e boost balance our the skills but dont make 1 unlucky class just to do it that just justifies ranger complaints when really they should have been boosted instead of decreased anyway.make it right at least firestorm and e shield.

It's pretty bad for us mages now. I have a fire build. I think the cool down for firestorm is now too long and eshield is awful. My shield is at 30/30 and it doesn't last long enough and the cool down is too long. My mage now feels sluggish. Disappointed to say the least.

I agree with energy shield to be buffed.

Energy shield was fine - if not needed little more boost rather than nerf. Mobs doing 400+ auto and mages armour close to practically being naked(yes i exaggerated) was perfectly reasonable for this.

Incinerate needed the biggest nerf as it was OP.
iceblast needed a minor nerf and 45% is just far too much.

The ice mage build that i used pre-patch had its downside to compensate for its high damage output. Cooldown, misallocated skill points and EVADES. Those damn evades made all the difference. Ice mage worked well for me as the 'long' cooldown allowed my small amount of sigils to kick in.
