Using 35 valuable points to give an extra 400 energy every 30 long seconds is a little helpful, but not as much as I had hoped for. That’s essentially, 2 casts of nature’s touch. As others have posted, I don’t believe it’s worth sacrificing the points for.
As a level 163 druid with only 40 sigils, I have always chosen skills with energy efficiency and strategic healing in mind. As a result, I never actually maxed natures touch, but instead, focused on more preventative skills such as howling wind and abundance (lower energy costs than bark and lasts a whole minute longer). In update 4, I found myself struggling to manage my energy consumption efficiently, in spite of being equipped with 90-105 per tick worth of rejuvs and 40 per tick meditate. Although, I have now read that OTM has improved the efficiency of meditate.
Considering the energy issues currently facing druids, I would recommend to choose only 1 of the many skills available to put full points into (a specialization). Then, distribute remaining points among the skills that most compliment your specialization. I discourage putting more than 15 points into natures embrace because the energy cost is the same as natures touch but must be recast every 45 seconds. In addition, consideration may be made to choosing skills that compliment other druids you are usually grouped with (e.g., one can specialize in bark, another in abundance). My top recommendation: make very good friends with a mage
