I'm guessing that all you mages were probably pretty happy hitting nearly 10,000 damage and obliterating everything in a few seconds.

I haven't played much recently and I haven't really seen powerful mages in action but it seems to be me like their skills are pretty overpowered.
Thank you for your pointless post, you haven't played and are going off assumptions to make your conclusion. Good job. No, not all of us thought it was ok to hit for 10,000 damage even when it was every 20 seconds not counting deflections.

I want to see a balanced game, I don't want to be overpowered. A nerf was definitely warranted but the extent it was taken to is absolutely ridiculous. A mage in my clan with exceptional gear died fighting a 2* enemy her level WITH using energy shield. That shouldn't happen to any class, no one with decent gear and a leveling spec should die to a 2* enemy.
Obviously you haven't heard of pots, or rogues. Rogues die fairly easily and pots help alot. No, they don't cost plat to get them, just buy off of people.

Well by this admins own admission, mages were given a huge boost, but a 'tiny' adjustment was made...doesn't feel so tiny when mobs below you kill you repeatedly. And forget about the chance to level on mobs equal or higher without pots or idols.

I feel the need to repeat myself, due to the deletion or edits of my posts.
I'm not belligerent, but have to restate the facts that are seemingly being ignored. You keep saying small adjustment, but it's huge!

What is the point of iceblast if u cant blast anything....
Ice blast is an aoe skill. I don't know if you have noticed, but all other classes' aoe skills do much less damage than their single target ones. Ice blast was doing much more damage than shards while being an aoe skill.

It's funny that they get free testing from the playerbase and then they do a sideways nerf without doing any testing bc they think its a "binary" situation lmao. Since "a" is the problem we are gonna nerf "b" too and make your class unplayable. Why not turn shield into a mana shield if it was that much of an issue where 4 dmg = 1 mana or something. Anyways it is funny how something so uncomplicated is made out to be complicated as an excuse which is really just insulting to the player base. I'm not a mage though but, I do not think I would enjoy my class getting the nerf wiffle ball bat.

Obviously it costs someone plat so yes it DOES cost plat

We are not op considering our paper thin armor, we were actually able to kill something and enjoy solo leveling like every other class and because otm decided to take and nerf not only our skills but our eshield we are now a useless class, nothing more than farmers. If they want to reduce our damage then for goodness sakes dont take our only defense so we cant kill even things 20 lvl below us let alone our own levels. Imo opinion they shouldve balanced the dmg to all classes and left our dang shield alone.
And btw do you play a mage?? Obviously NOT or you would understand our problems

So what the heck does "burst damage" have to do with cutting energy shield and making you spend more energy than health it protects? Oh, I know. NOTHING.

Once again, a silly assumption that makes you look foolish. I've duo'd with one of the best rogues in the game (Nukegurl) for countless hours as well as watched her solo.

Yes, rogues have to pot to kill quickly, so does every other class in the game. However, one pot for me is 1-2 hits and for her its 3-4. In addition, she has higher defense from fast reflexes and dex in order to properly dodge attacks. She also kills slightly quicker than me.

Lets put it this way. She can solo 3*s her level without potting and it takes me 2 eshields MAXED at 50 and 1-2 pots.

My biggest problem is the E shield nerf, reducing the amount of damage it blocks by 25%. It now gives less damage blocked than it drains in energy, making it almost worthless. the entire point of e shield is that it gives more hp than it drains in energy, otherwise mages would simply invest in hp, no? If you reduce the effectivness of e shield, it would only make sense to reduce the energy cost by an equal percentage. As it stands right now, I can't even train on my mage due to my e shield being useless, and everything doing less damage.
