Target lock is great imo, when training on mobs your own lvl you can't get ksed.

Another reason why it was implemented, was to stop people like you trying to monopolise boss drops. Let the people who actually need it for quests have a chance to kill the boss. It is ironic that your reasons to dislike it is exactly why it was introduced in the first place.

How does making money not help with progress jw?

I think target lock is good but to base it on lvl difference of mobs is bad everyone needs gold. (I have never farmed a boss i dont need stuff for)
Making money helps you progress, but not at the expense of monopolizing a boss so you can jack prices up and sell to lower levels. A level 150 does not and will not need a dragon disc and if they ever do it's going to be a one time case and that's it. Clearly what you are doing is trying to use your 150 to kill Falgren because you need a drag for an alt or want to sell for easy money. The system protects players who actually need the drops, so they do not have to buy from others at exorbitant prices. If you want to make money, focus on bosses that do not drop quest related items, such as bosses that drop rings instead or group the lower levels instead of trying to solo everything for your ultimate advantage.

Hey, let's look on the bright side. That high level can always just buy that drag they 'need' from said 'noob' clan. No harm there right?

I'm sorry to jest but I never thought I'd see the day. I'm trying to feel some empathy over here, but that last warden weapon quest keeps nagging away at my better conscience.

So whoever attacks first gets first kill... so I'm gonna camp Aggy with my lvl 80 chr, start attacking while the rest of my group/clan arrives with reinforcements. We get the kill because I attacked first...That doesn't make sense.

It makes sense that a group the same level should have rights over a higher level non grouped character. They technically need it more than the high level. If you're killing the mob for an item for your alt, cool beans, but if it's to monopolize the drops, that's crap. That's what ruins it for a lot of people and end up quitting. Who wants to play a game where you can't ever get the mob kill you need for a quest piece because it's camped 24/7 by high lvl chrs who just want a quick buck?

Now what would be cool is to introduce a PvP zone with high level mobs where you can KS each other and kill one another... Fight for your mobs =)

Think Arena... but with mobs. Granted it'd be camped by the most powerful clans on your world, but hey, that's the fun part right?

Target lock is fine. KSing no longer exists.
I thought this too. Unfortunately, it is not the case. Another player was killing a mob and having difficulty. After he idoled and the mob reset, he started again. In an effort to help him, I waited for the target lock to attach and then blew away the mob. Neither he nor I received the xp or gold.

He initially accused me of ksing and I explained that I specifically waited for the lock to engage to help him. He apologized, appreciated me trying, and I explained that I would wait until more than 50% in the future before helping out.

But yes, you can still ks. You just don't receive any benefit for it.
