Re: Hollowing Wind no works now!!

#21
Howling wind works fine for me, i was solo lvling all day today and managed to get 2.5bars on average per elix with the help of howling wing. I have 405 defence and howling wind at 34/30 reducing attacks by around 1440. I get hit 10% of the time which is really good. I have been killing the blackstones and boggans but with blackstones slightly higher hit ratio compared to boggans.

Seems to be working fine for me

My hw reduces attacks by 1600+

Yet I could not evade a glimmerwing faerie.

Pleased yours is working fine. Hoping mine starts working again soon.

It depends on your defence as well

For example a mob has attack of 1000 and your hw reduces attack by 600, the mob then has 400 Attack but your defence is 400. You will then evade 50% of the time (theoretically)

The higher the defence the better, im currently sitting on 405 and saving for haste dagger for the 150 dex boost adding 300 defence

I understand that bud but I ran a couple of tests with my build and it was more effective to keep the points in focus due to the reduction in attack stat on howling wind than the defence added.

How I have over -1600 attack yet still get hit by a glimmerwing without evading melee is beyond me.

I understand what point you are trying to make zilla but what I am saying is that my howling wind alone has a higher -attack stat than your hw + defence combined and as a result should be just as(if not more effective).

Next time you are online come to south road and we will run some tests.

Maybe with the coding over haul its become more level equivalent, like target lock dmg depending on your level difference to the boss because i swear by it. All the mobs im using it on are within a range of my level, and I can tell a big difference on mobs or bosses when im using it.

As can I It doesn't work at the moment.

Even on same level mobs.

Maybe I am just bugged as it is making the game practically unplayable for me currently.

It doesnt matter how high your hw reduces by, you need some defence otherwise it is useless. My HW reduces by 1300 roughly, with my ES gear i have another 400 defence. In theory 2100 attack reduce is the same as what i have now. Maybe thats your problem, no defence but really high HW

Zilla dex never used to be a requirement for Druids. Howling wind was the only thing necessary for reducing interrupts. Druids never had issues before this update with howling wind and now it doesn't work as it should. If my howling wind reduces your attack to 0 or below, the enemy should NEVER be able to hit you with melee. If glimmerwing fairy hit dingo with a -1600 attack hw that means the fairy has over 1600 attack!! THAT'S INSANE!!!! I have a 950 defence with my rad es gear and 18/30 hw and I still get interrupted quite often. I will have do some tests and reskill with max hw to see what the difference is. But regardless dex should not be a necessity for hw to work.

I forgot about that...

If that faire has over 1600 attack that is ridiculous.....

next time i get on imma run some tests mysef, i never needed dex for my druid anyways ads ive always had exceptionally good gear for my druid for that level

But if thats the case about the fairie....

Maybe OTM made it so HW works on mobs your own level? Or Made it so that HW doesnt go into the negatives like lures?
