Re: target lock.

Work around situations? Im getting penalised for leveling! Thats bs. What am i ment to do d-level so i can kill boss more efficiently or somehow manage to double the dps of someone who is like 20 levels lower but with similar gear... What a load of rubbish. It should be fixed % i get crippled because i level even though i need the gear lmao!!! I like target lock its fun and a mad mad rush but the fact that level indicates where it is locked is perthetic.
Sounds to me like you need a better strategy, better dps, and a more balanced/better group....oh wait...that's what 'everyone' is saying about enrage...hhmmmm....
I would like to point out this hasnt happened and im not gonna let it happen. Its why i stopped leveling. We have yet to lose a lock on a boss in ffa. I just dont see why anyone should be penalised for lvling. Its how OTM makes money. Its like saying ok OTM ima give you £70 and then can you do me a favor and make bosses harder for me to get even though i have u thy money to get me a higher level. How stupid. No strategy invovled in this, its just the fact that the more you level the less likely you are to get a boss.
So let me get this straight, you are complaining about something that has *not* happened simply because it *could* happen and you feel that is completely unjustified and unfair to you?

I feel it is unfair on anyone who levels/funds the game leveling helps fund the game alot and getting punished for leveling it the craziest idea i have ever heard. You are getting punished for funding the game...

So in your opinion someone who funds the game by buying plat and leveling with elixirs is getting punished by target lock because they may lose a lower level boss to it? Yet you also feel that someone who funds the game by buying plat and leveling with elixirs is not getting punished when they have a boss 95% dead, enrage kicks in, and they wipe (after using even more of those plat purchased items of pots, idols, and even elixirs)? Your logic seems a little counter-intuitive to me. The ‘punishment’ that helps you but hurts others should stay; while the ‘punishment’ that (by your own words) has not even hurt you but may at some unknown, random point in the future hurt you but does help others should immediately be removed? Again, this just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

Stone obviously you can't read... the issue people are having is when they are HIGHER than said mob and LOSE target lock to a group of the same level as the mob.

For example: A level 160 fighting a level 160 mob/boss will get target lock SOONER than a level 180 due to the level difference and the fact that level 160 mob is "meant" for the level 160, not 180.

The issue higher levels are having is that mobs that they need for quest items are now 10-20 levels lower than them and they LOSE target lock due people that are same level as mob attacking it as well.

They are getting "punished" by leveling past the quest mob because they have a harder time getting target lock even though they're higher than the mob/boss. The crappy part is that if you aren't the same level or higher than said boss, it's even harder to kill that boss.

Imagine a group of level 35s trying to take out Cronus. One of his flame spells would kill just about any group member unless they were all Vit at that point.

Why I think enrage is good-- promptes leveling working getting more clan members and inviting more people to top clans so you can kill bosses. You get punished cause your group is not strong enough you need more there it makes your clan expand which is great for lower levels to come up the ranks

Why i think a diff % for higher level on target lock is bad--- makes leveling past the boss worthless and everything you work for seem useless as a lvl 160 with same gear as 190 will get a 160 boss even if the 190 needs quest items. Why should he be punished

It would be nice to see clan member caps though... the only reason I say that is because it'd be boring to have everyone in the same clan because that's the only clan powerful enough to take on end game bosses.

Why I think enrage is bad – makes players that work their butt off levelling and getting bigger/better feel like everything they’ve done is a complete waste when enrage hits and they wipe out with 10% health left on the boss. Makes players feel the mantra has become: level or leave, group or leave, join the best clan only or leave, buy loads of plat items with real life money (and then loads more) or leave. Makes players feel they have to move to a new server where there is actually a higher population density of hardcore players and completely start over if they want end-game gear (buying even tons more plat items). Makes players frustrated beyond reason when they have to stare at a boss that’s been up for days because there just aren’t enough hardcore people on the server to get levelled up and take the boss. Makes players have to read ‘maybe a server reset will clear it so we can get a lesser boss instead’. Makes players feel they got shafted because they did level up and are now punished, not because they levelled up, but because not enough others did level up. Makes players annoyed have to read high level players that were lucky enough to join the ‘right’ server and the ‘right’ clan complain because one thing or another doesn’t suit them. Makes players from smaller clans give up because they can no longer have even a chance at a boss that the big clans hog, even when the smaller clans find a boss alone and have a ‘chance’ at it. At least prior to enrage, the smaller clans knew that if they could get a boss alone for long enough they might actually have a chance to get the quest items they need. Now they are punished for not being in THE clan on their respective servers.

Why I think target lock is good As Is – because (as already witnessed on these forums) the high levels can’t rush in and very easily ks a boss that they have very little to no need to take. Allows people who aren’t (or even are) hardcore levellers to have a chance to finish their quest without waiting months for a golden opportunity to get a chance at a quest boss where no high levels are around to mess them over. Helps keep players from taking bosses out of their level league and encourages smaller level players to keep going rather than giving up and quitting. Keeps lower levels from having to pay exorbitant prices for items that they should be allowed to get on their own.

Again, it seems to me you are all for the new game mechanic that helps you and your top clan but completely against the one that hinders you. No matter which side you choose to argue for, the opposite side feels just the same frustrations and hurts. To ignore the frustrations of the opposite side because it is convenient is just foolish and greedy. In a perfect world the fact that you feel the desire to use real life money to purchase plat would in no way make your opinion any more important than the person who (by circumstance or desire) doesn’t purchase plat. But then again, this is by far from a perfect world. So I say good luck on getting the game changed to suit your personal needs to the detriment of others’.

Agreed, nuff said.
