What kind of damage/DoT are you getting out of Rupture? What's your stats/level of skill?
Rupture can be used with what type of weapons? Axes/Maces? If so, what good mid-end game weapons are there for these two types?
Also, what kind of AoE damage are you getting from Sweeping Blow?
I've got a lowbie warrior I'm contemplating leveling up and wondering how good these skills are...
Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#2i havent gotten to playing around with shatter yet
but i do know about sweeping blow
so basically its a giant swing except it hits multiple enemies
it depends on how far the enemies are away and if theyre in front of you
the farther the enemies are away, the less damage they take from sweeping blow
for example lets say theres a connacht trooper right in front who you are fighting and a connacht mage a little bit farther back
you cast sweeping blow
it could hit the connacht trooper for 100 damage and then hit the mage for like 30 since its farther away
and all enemies have to be in front of you when you cast sweeping blow or it wont affect them

#3So they have to be directly in front of you? And not off to the side just a tad...?
Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#4sweeping blow will hit all eneymys around the one u cast sweeoing blow on. its range so big enough to hit all mobs surrounding u,
But the skill is nit very usefull. Mostly u will fight against one mob in this game and the cooldown on blow is to slow that u could kill 2 mobs at once. (if u kill one, the other one might loose like 10% of its health from blow).
im using rupture at lvl 34. it does like 700 direct damage and then 3 ticks 250 dmg.

Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#5So Rupture is good... but sweeping blow needs a boost like explosive arrow for rangers.
What types of weapons do you have to use for Rupture? Axe or Mace?

Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#6Sweeping blow hits everything around u besides directly behind u there's a small margin the won't get hit if ur surrounded

#7There is a guide up at the top. This is as descriptive as it can getSweeping Blow: This skill acts like giant swing. However it has an area of effect for the cost of reduced damage. The effect of this skill reaches out to any mob around the target. Strength increases the damage of this skill.

Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#8I use sweeping blow all the time, and its awesome! at around 16/30, with frozen sword, golden magic blade and a few damage rings I hit between 300-600 on most mobs around my level (140)
I also find it very useful on boggans, where multiple targets are nearly always the norm when leveling. It lets you get a head start on the next target/targets, and can also help keep agro for those few seconds, when taunt and/or warcry are ignored (it happens more than I would like it too!)
Rupture I have not used so no comment!

Re: Rupture and Sweeping Blow
#10Yeah I always thought sweeping blow had inconsistent damage. Plus it only goes up like 5 damage every time you upgrade it.
