Re: Support mage build

I like mine, although it's a bit hybrid.

ice shards 32
e boost 32
e shield 16
ice lure 16
lure of magic 8
lure of assassins (pierce) 35
lure of soldiers (slashing) 25

I always wear a +5 shield aggy brace and a +5 shards aggy brace. I also have a number of rings I'll switch on and off as needed, including a +10 sacrifice and +4 and +6 boost. And I have a master twisted wand (+3 shards). (Shards can go up to 42, for example.)

This build allows me to provide energy and lures for most people (yes, some people use magic offhands and druids love me! ) while sometimes being able to throw in a shards hit to finish an add. I have a specific build for bosses, another for small leveling groups, and a third for duoing (w/hubby) or soloing (pretty much just dailies).

I use:

Lure of Assasins 40/35 ( more than needed but I swear no matter what you do the bosses defense is insane, so I keep at 40)
Lure of Fire 20/35
Firebolt 50/35 (to help kill all the pesky adds)
Fire Attunement 40/35
Eshield 35/35
Sacrifice 28/35 (I am a higher vit mage with a lot of sigils, so I prefer sacrifice over eboost...not recommended for low vit/no sigils)

So, essentially, I have 3 support skills, can stay alive and do a little damage on adds. Not for everyone, but its my build of choice at the moment. Also, energy usage isn't as bad as with an ice mage build, I rarely use pots for energy.
