Re: Figuring Haste item weapon speed

Just pointing out haste says increase speed by 50% but it atch decreases your weapon speed by 50% so it doubles your damage as far as im aware. Unless this has been changed since update. You can see it more clearly when u use a weapon and no gloves/ring then use a haste the numbers are clearly twice as fast(last time i tested)

But if im wrong the easy way to do it is treat your speed as the extra % you have.

So 1900=150% on haste elix simply /15 then *10... Very simple

Well as I said before, weapon speed is actually weapon delay. A haste bonus does increase speed by decreasing delay. That's why a higher attack speed value on stats is red when compared to your weapon's speed.

I thought that was obvious, who would pay to have their attacks slowed down?

That's what i ment.... Basically is a haste increasing you speed by 50% therefore increasing you auto attack dps by 50% or does it decrease your weapon speed by 50% therefore increase your dps by 100%.

If its first take your weapon speed and do what i said in first post.

If its second just multiply the number by 1- the decimal of haste your using.

Well damage per second means the rate is obviously a fraction. Since the denominater is the time (or hit delay), decreasing it will increase the calculated value. So yes, dps is increased.

**Dps is proportional to 1/delay**

So if you divide the denominater, your actually multiplying the numerater. By multiplying the denominater by a fraction, your actually dividing it... 2*(1/3) is the same as 2/3
So if you divide the denominator which is your delay, your multiplying damage over time. Damage over time is damage per time. And in this case, it's in seconds. So dps will be improved by exactly the haste bonus (percentage wise).

That should explain the whole fraction deal for all of you.

I have an A level in maths. I do understand it. I am saying test it.... It seems u hit twice as fast not 50% more....
