well its cool having an awesome description like "invincible vanquisher" or something :D
Turning this question slightly on its head, but what do you think should be the point of PvP?
Pvp is player vs player. The option is added but since the classes are so different and you can't easily change attributes it's impossible to meet the requirements to beat the opponent in most cases.

In pvp classes need to be balanced but it's pretty imposible. I once suggested A pvp mode where you get 5 skills which are balanced. Health are boosted or taken down so that a lvl 150 can still have a fair fight with a lvl 10. (It was a boxing idea)

Pvp should be more about skill than Leveling. And each class should be able to tank/dps/heal
not sure this would work.... *the awkward moment when a lvl 150 is taken down by a lvl 1*
The awkward moment when a lvl 165 challenges a lvl 70 and acts like a little kid when the challenge is not accepted.
Sorry but I have never liked pvp in this game. And this can change when a balance is found.
It isn't awkward when a lvl 150 loses from a lvl 1 it's a fair fight unlike the first sentence I just wrote.

This game isn't ready for pvp. The classes are unbalanced and the current skills cannot co-exist in pvp and pve environments. For example, Warriors who have points in Taunt and Warcry are already gimped with 2 skills useless in pvp.

The whole skill point system isn't viable either for a pvp environment. You guys need to look at WoW and even OaC and see how they balanced classes and skills. Besides the occasional pvp quirk, e.g. stun-lock from rogues/assassins, both games have good pvp class balance especially when it's group pvp.

But to answer your question, PvP should be an alternate path for players who do not like to farm mobs and kill bosses for equipment. PvP gear which is inferior to fighting bosses but good for fighting other players should be given out.
PvP fashion would also be a good reward to show off that someone is great at fighting non-AI opponents.

Minigames make PvP fun.

Check out some videos on youtube of 'Runescape - Castle Wars'.. I used to play and honestly, is some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game.

Ah yes... Castle wars was the bomb. Also the cave where you got set items to use in a 2-part 1v1 battle with the orb thing and the points got you items. +1 for a castle wars type of pvp option, possibly with a clan wars spin to it (along with regular castle wars)

Check out some videos on youtube of 'Runescape - Castle Wars'.. I used to play and honestly, is some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game.
As a free player, I always thought Fist of Guthix was fun. :lol:

Let me just say something.

The Arena is supposed to be about different people coming together.

We call this a battle, but what are we fighting for?

We’re all here because we have this thing we do. We fight.

Right?

Being a part of The Arena used to mean more than turf or power.

It was about bringing something new to the floor.

And it shouldn’t matter what we equip,

What clan or what world we’re from.

Because the best part of The Arena is, it’s not about what you’ve got.

It’s what you make of what you’ve got.
Yes I did steal that from Step Up 2 and edited it, but the point still stands true.

And truthfully it should stay that way and in no way should be cut, changed or improved, because otherwise it just makes it worse. Let everything about your character show what they got against another person's character. If they got a 2k heal, so what, hit them will all you got. Show what your made of, make something of what you've got.

You asked me to tell you what I think the point is, that's what I think the point of pvp is and should be. Nothing different.
