I Love My Ranger!
However, playing a Ranger effectively requires investment. I have a tremendous Light Heal (1335) when set for it but run (1288) on average, and I still burn restos like crack. I have finally found a great build that balances DPS, Heal, and Deffence.

Do I think OTM should tweak rangers a bit sure, but they never will. You have to play a ranger for the love of being a utility player.

Utility for what, bolas? I'm sure your light heal does very little for a group your level.

Rangers don't have much utility besides bolas in my opinion.

Rangers are a fantastic class and I love having one to group with. Excellent support with a bit of DPS tossed in. Obviously you're welcome to your opinion but telling new people not to make a Ranger because you don't find the class appealing in the current metagame is close minded. Most people agree that they could use some buffing in the area of DPS but overall they are very welcome, especially as you mentioned with this update and the majority of bosses being bola-walked. Even when Warriors are in full Dragonlord it isn't nearly as efficient as bola walking so that is not going to change.

It depends on how you look at it. Sure, a Light Heal might not be that important to a Warrior being healed by a Druid... but from the point of view of the Druid, a Ranger's ability to sufficiently heal him/herself is greatly appreciated.

As a Druid, I don't really need to worry about a Ranger's health bar when training. I know that he can take care of him/herself for the most part. This allows me to focus my healing on the others in the group.

May just as well have more dps warriors with 50% more armor that won't drop dead all of a sudden like a ranger can.

OP why are you solo levelin on minibosses? lol. Rangers are the #2 solo leveling class just behind dps warriors.

Actually rangers are no longer good solo levelers. Our shortage of dps causes the mob to take longer meaning we take more damage. Light heal gets interrupted all the time and bolas evades 25% of the time. Thats not exactly ideal solo leveling to me.

Well if my only purpose was to get exp, I would group with 7 Mages and just sit back and do nothing as they nuked the mobs to oblivion before anyone even took a point of damage.

If I am grouped, however, 9 times out of 10 it will be with clanmates, whose classes I can't control.

Rangers need to be fixed, yes. Rogues needed to be fixed at the beginning of Update 3 as well. Doesn't mean I should avoid grouping with a friend because of something they can't control.

That being said, I usually solo due to other reasons.

I bet a Druid can solo level than us I'm not even kidding... Our light heal gets interrupted like nothing and wat happens we drop dead our damage sucks we are broken! Like no other the new bosses still hits us wtf!! We are suppose to be range and not die but we die like the rest when we are away from I use entangle which I seriously never see a difference in my opinions but people say there is so I use it and I'm pretty dang sure that's when Druid and warriors are higher level they will be able to tank bosses and we will be dead so say kite be better but I have a question are u going to kite modris?!?!? I'm 100% he just like aggy so u wount if otm doesn't fix ranger they will be dead I'm sure of that

There is one useful thing about rangers. Thats bolas. Its only needed for high bosses and in the future wot he needed. It even takes 2-3 rangers to keep bolas on snorri bonechewer because of how often it evades now. Lets face it. Rangers suck
