Ice mage was nerfed into oblivion if you haven't noticed. Fire is the way to go now why would you want to make ice?

Im a ice mage and have no need for constant potting. I have bought sigils quite a few. My build is as follows

Ice shards 50/40
Ice blast 40/40
Eshield 44/40
Ice lure 30/40
Ice atunment 48/40

Vit is 150 with an extra 75 from aggy brace
Focus is 780 increased by gear to 1582.

I can solo 3 star mobs easy, 4 stars can do but requires waiting for eshield to be cleared for recast

My ice shards hits for 6k plus on average
Ice blast hit for around 5k average.

I suppose it helps being lvl 184

Has anyone been able to create an ice mage dps build that doesn't require the constant use of pots? Our mages who use it are potheads.

There shouldn't be a way to have Ice Magic build with lasting energy. It's just like Gandalf. He uses heaps of power and he's completely drained. He doesn't have pots either. You got big power you lose big strength.

What's the point of having ice magic available if it's not useable? I'm not saying you should be able to cast major damage every time, but there should be a balanced build that allows for it to be used without running out so soon. Maybe with maxed eboost and a heap of regen items, but it just always seems to me that fire is more efficient.

Well, use the ice h2h build. It's epic. Max attune, half max ice lure, max ice shard and ice blast. The idea is that since energy drain is already a problem, might as well make it a huge one but also a short one. With these skills maxed at 30/30 you can spit out 4k dmg in a few seconds. While the skills and mana are recharging, simply h2h with ice blade and helm of severity. That's 250 cold dmg!! And remember, your opponent already has ice lure on him! You should be doing about a few hundred dmg each time, and always remember to wear your heroic speed gloves :p

the one who gave me his full dps fire build, also has an alt ice mage at same lvl (182 or so), full dps, same as fire but ice


ice shards - maxed
ice blast - maxed
ice attune - maxed
ice lure - half of current max skill pts
rest in firebolt - why? even better than ice shards for fire build, fast, strong, low energy cost, fast cooldown

any more extra pts, could go to fire lure or firestorm or anyting else u want
dont forget to cast even lure of fire at lvl 1

Ice mages were nerves but I found out a great build that only requires 10 energy regen up to level 60 lol not a high level but it's good. I maxed ice shards ice blast halved lure of ice and maxed ice attune ever item I levels for every 5 stats I put 4 into energy and 1 into hp (AFTER LEVEL 30) and I put some spare points in eshield I use a golden focus from lux shop and when you fight you cats shield get two mobs (shield and attune,net before battle) cast iceboats then shards then lures then blast and Tara! For me it took a while so by the time I killed my first guy half my energy was already refilled then I'm finished them off with fire bolt at about 2 it works!

Haha. Try telling this to Furyion of Lugh. He solo leveled to 190 only using super knowledge elixirs. No restos, no health lix, very minimal idols.

im not sure, but ill ask him. i know its not a lot , but ill post when i find out.

About 150/300 health energy, did not add sigils to about lv 170. No energy problems on my normal build. And I hit average 7-9k shards, 10.5k max. And 8-10k blast average 11.5k max.

Ice isn't that bad, in fact i love it because i can do alot of damage at once
