#4with the last patch it seems a lot of the books have been dropping a lot less lately but yes they drop from the pirates my clan member just got one the other night.

#7i think pirates drop the double attack skill
all the new skills drop from new mobs as he said above (i.e. i got my shatter from a 5* bear)
