It should just be Need before Greed everytime. I know myself and Callator do not play with alts and we aren't very interested in making them. (For now anyway) I dont know how serious some players are with their alts and I hope they don't just bring them to possibly increase chances of drop. If you look at Levels in Lugh, there are only about 60 of us even qualified to do quest at the moment. Shouldnt be hard to equip everyone involved over time if we work together and not worry about profit in these yet. There's a ton of other $ out there to be made.
If I ever get extra colors on rolls I probably wouldnt sell them to you guys anyway. I remember who is always there trying their butt off blowing through idols n restos with me.
Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#22So alot of posts and good stuff. My thoughts are this: i am fine with the majority of this but a 2 points i think should change but thats me.
Multiple drops and Not being able to dice if have all the items you need (4 gems) this i am not sure should happen. The goal is to outfit everyone as soon as possible. But if these happen then The rest are at a disadvantage. I say this bc we could use that item to trade. So warriors and druids may lose out here then but there have been plently of battles without ranger, mage, or rogues. So if people are dicing for say a yellow item bc no ranger they won't sell that item they only hold it for trade. So if a mage has my yellow item but only looking for trade my only option is to beable to get a blue drop in a battle. If there are 2 mage drops but only one thats my chance to get it for trade. This is similar if i have a 5th gem where i can trade for an idol or egg.
This helps us get outfitted faster or just the same. Doesnt slow it down for the majority of people fighting who are using idols and restos and sometimes costly battle.

Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#23Kinda my point on profit Lost. I group with you alot and we can't make yellows drop. So, should i get yellow by chance i would just give to you. You try as hard as the rest of us and use up idols n restos like us. Only fair.
Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#24I think i understand what you are saying, but i'm afraid i disagree with you.
You make an interesting point about warriors and druids. Since they will always be at battles (and some classes may not be there), they have a better chance of getting drops they don't need. This is offset, quite a bit imo, by the fact that the other classes have far fewer people and are thus far more likely to get their color drops when they are at a battle. Xyn, who i only use when no other mage is present, has been to a small fraction of the battles that akbar has, but has much better drops!
In the old days (update 2 or 3) we took what we got and used it to trade, buy or sell for what we needed. the high level players decided, thanks to our experience with aggy, that we didn't like that system and we would distribute drops based on need first and profit/trading second.
If you have your four gems, you should not be dicing if there is another ranger in the group who doesn't have their gems yet - just so you might be able to trade for something later. I would be quite miffed if a ranger who had their 9 eggs (or whatever the number is) diced and won a 10th while i was trying to get my 4th. IMO, that is a partial return to the bad old days. I personally like the feeling of cooperation and friendship from helping each other far more than 20k profit from a drop.
Soon enough we will be outfitted and these drops will be for profit. lets help everyone get outfitted tho.
Of course, this is my interpretation of what high level lugh wants based on a lot of conversations. However, it is not up to me. If you are at these boss fights, make your opinion known please. Lets decide it on the forums so we don't waste time after the kill.
thanks

#25Yes ak i know what your saying and i see both sides of it also but have yet to see anyone sell a drop class or not. Eeryone wants trade. That's where im comi from bc while i have boots and gloves i needed one egg for gloves and someone non class had it but would only trade for an item for there toon. That then slowed me down a few days before i got the egg. Just throwing out there different options.
Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#26Like I said, I just stay out of fights save my gold and buy the drops. No matter, just take longer to get. Really tired of the discussion, hahahah. Again, as was stated earlier, warriors and druids get the short end of the stick. I just suggest to my fellow druids, stay out of the fights for a while or druids unite and come up with a compensation plan for our services. The other classes cant boss without us. Just a thought my fellow druids. But then again, i really dont care and just posting this stuff to grow the debate. No matter to me, just not worth the idols it cost to boss hunt.

Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#29Nice job with the Dragonlord Policies! I think this accurately reflects the discussions that have occurred at Dragonlord boss fights. I would like to add my support to giving someone more than one drop under the circumstances you described.
Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies
#30sarge, i am quite confused.
are you upset with the policies as laid out? if so, why not suggest something better or different. Druids can enter battles at a far lower level than other classes, which gives then opportunities to get their drops earlier.
if i am reading you right, you are upset cause you die a lot? we all do at these boss fights.
I guess i am sensing a lot of anger in you about some proposed rules that seem to reflect many conversations with many people. I am not certain what you want. I have noticed lately that these bosses are being done with few druids cause we are using bolas to keep things under control. will that address your concern?
