We are investigating what's causing the reset issue. I'll make sure to post when we find out anything. But overall this is going to be a long downtime because the cause of the issue isn't clear.

Do you have any type of time frame we can work with?

Yea nerfing anything thats gone make a person happy, my opinion is because they want players to keep spending instead of winning items that are clearly Expensive that usually at the normal price of buying plat without double plat week would had to make 1 million it would take $200 to get, knowing some of us will do that due to many of us not the type to be patient. (Also they probably realizing after double plat most of all players are not gone need to Purchase Platinum for a while)

Long as they have people on forums with pictures from the first patch they realize thats all its gone take for us plat buyers to keep spending money for these chests, so we buy as they know what they did... (Slime your chances to win) but of course they not gone tell you the truth you will just have to take your chances.
