i would say that the whole concept of too high and low is a bit silly. if someone offers you something for more than you want, you don't buy it. someone offered me a royal ring, i said i would pay 10k, he said someone else was offering 40k. since i had a grand ring already, the royal was not worth that much to me - but very well may have been to someone else.
frags and stuff are relatively easy to come by, especially since higher levels are doing their own quests now. i have a million oaks and stuff - i rarely find anyone who needs to buy them. if someone is selling too high, just wait 30 minutes and you will get a better price. heck, i have trouble selling my dragons and elms now. it is also a reason to join a good and reputable clan.
I dont think there is anything wrong with collecting stuff for your friends and alts. I worked hard to make a high level character that can supply others. But i rarely keep an appropriate leveled player out of a boss fight just because i can solo it (the exceptions are the jerks and annoying people).
