Lets play a game... I ask, and you answer. Hopefully, you'll answer your own question.

1. What would you rather have? Heroic gloves or haste ring?
2. Why?
3. Do yoi also see another bonus on there thatsy be useful?
4. Do you now see why the price is high?

Haste or speed rings are just for people who want to.stick to.full quest armour sets. So for example if u have full frozen with bonus, the 200k practically pays for the 300 hp n energyboost n the other.bonuses (divine dmg, chaos resist) Which can actually be useful. Even more so if dragonlord armour with fingalsshield bonus

In reality set bonus is really only ment for bosses so for tanks the ring is pointless as when u tank u dont need the haste and when u dont tank i can use gloves. Rogues and rangers have off hand weapons that allow them to not even need the gloves or rings but many also use haste elixers on bosses so again the ring isnt needed for these classes. Casters have no real need for it so doesnt matter. In the end in most cases the ring isnt needed and it really should be lowered to 250k max.

Well, you're given 2 slots for the same effect. The more convenient slot is going to cost more because it allows for a more powerful setup.

Would you rather have a set bonus and haste while still wielding an optimally strong offhand (there are haste offhands too)? Or would you rather have an open ring slot and forget about a set bonus or gloves that will benefit you more? I'd say go with the ring, set bonus, good gloves, and a nice offhand of mu choice.

That should help you understand what I mean.
