I actively use it and like the skill but I'm fortunate to have it at 50/40.
Cool! What is your total focus and what damage it does? I'd like to know:-)
1190 focus and maximum is 1882 a tick. It deals with a high damage variance like all spells though.

Ya compare that to vines and you will see how pathetic it is. Much better to waste 15 pts into ice lure and just max shards instead of incinerate.
Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Depends on your gear available. Incinerate has an advantage of allowing you to be mobile while dealing damage as well. It should be boosted like all damage over time abilities but it has strategic advantages.

Yep i like incenerate more however i have up to 7+ on shards rings.
Why? Cuz i need to cast a lure wich get evaded alot and a skill that gets evaded 1/3 of the time..
Ya but still with maxed abilities in both incinerate will get evaded just as much as shards will, and when incinerate is evaded you have about the same time lost then when a shards is evaded.

But yes the lure evasion/long lure cooldown is a big problem. It adds way too much uncertainty to the class.

Even then think about it this way...with all fire and your fire lure gets evaded, your toast. But if you have fire and ice spells and lures, if one gets evaded you still have the other lure and element. So all in all the terrible lure situation makes it better to have 2 lures.

spells and lures, if one gets evaded you still have the other lure and element. So all in all the terrible lure situation makes it better to have 2 lures.
And if both get evaded.. (Tried this skill setup and got rid of it in 4hours as mobs 50 levels below me kept evading ice shards however my ability is maxed :/ ) anyway,also something good,more energy consuming tho.., max firestorm/attune and bolt.
1 lure to dish out 7k damage each 10 seconds isnt to bad:)
