Yes there is. There was a time in Beta where some users found a way to exploit the way gold could be earned (but don't worry, the gold isn't linked to our real accounts!) which led people to earn millions of gold in around a minute.
Some users were warned not to get too carried away but some didn't listen and ended up reaching a cap at either the very high millions or lower-mid billions where they were unable to purchase anything and anything related to gold glitched up. I'm not sure what the cap is but I doubt anyone will reach it.
Re: is there a money cap?
#12I know there is 1 person on my world who could potentially reach it, but I think he'd have to be crazy to do it. But nonetheless you dont need to cap your gold, 20 million is more than enough for anyone at this point as long as you have a clan that helps each other and shares.Yes there is. Re: is there a money cap?
#14The max value held by an integer variable is 2.147 billion but there are ways to store numbers higher such as converting the number to a string and back. So depending on how it's coded, the cap could just be the amount of memory which would basically be infinity.

#15I think the incident I mentioned happened at around the 2 billion mark actually. The max value held by an integer variable is 2.147 billion but there are ways to store numbers higher such as converting the number to a string and back. Re: is there a money cap?
#192,147,483,647 is the largest amount of anything (stats, skills, gold, etc.) in this game. It is a 32 bit game and 2,147,483,647 is the largest possible number that 32 bit systems are capable of generating.

Re: is there a money cap?
#20it was a high amount of gold then 0.0 who needs 2b?I think the incident I mentioned happened at around the 2 billion mark actually. The max value held by an integer variable is 2.147 billion but there are ways to store numbers higher such as converting the number to a string and back.
