Our usual setup is a tank (10k+ hp) with three or four druids on him, rangers/mages primarily on the boss for damage and warriors/rogues also on bosses but they take adds whenever the pop up.
It seems a little excessive but that's the only way we can "tank" the 6* bosses.

It seems a little excessive but that's the only way we can "tank" the 6* bosses.
And with this u could cut the druid cost down depending on what boss down to 0-3 druids and everyone else focusig i the boss. Ur also able to avoid the aoe skills instead of having every close range fighter pay attention and having to move.

If we don't have the manpower for a full setup like that we rely on bolas and root to keep the boss in place, have rangers and mages go nuts and give the melees dedicated add duty. It's not fun for melees but its like a backstreet hooker: cheap easy and gets the job done.

So far I've tanked the spider, the 160, and the 165 bosses. Seems it just requires lots of druids
Yea they are tank able but r they really worth the extra effort? The natural way players play games is to come up with strategies that make it easier on themselves and as it is right now bolas walkig is the easiest method to kill a boss u cut down on the work needed by a lot when u can eliminate the need for an extra 3-5 druids. Only way i see a group tanking a boss is if it requires less druids to tank the boss then to deal with the adds otherwise dealing with the adds then bolas walking the boss will always be te easiest method and less costly. If a group tanks the boss they need many more druids they also have to have all of there rogues and dps warriors paying attention to the heavy aoe skills so tanking requires much more effort then bolas walking which is why most do it.
Remember that if u position the boss when normal tanking u get almost no adds, with correct gear and two druids its way better than having to kill adds non stop, normal tanking is way better and leas costly on whole grp.

There are much easier ways to root/bolas and avoid adds than tanking. All bosses are being killd with less than one group now just by having 2 bolasers and we are at the stage where we can even take em down in under 15minutes. Tanking helps kill it faster but with other clans fighting for bosses no one has time to get 3-4 druids and setup the tank anymore, as you need to be quick to beat other clans. Not to mention the poor tank has to keep rebirthing and reskilling, use pies and whatever other elixs to boost stats every single time, or he is stuck with a useless tank build that he cant level with efficiently.

I'm of a few spots were u get no adds but u still require more druids then u would if u just dealt with the adds then bolas the boss. Every one of these bosses adds are easier to deal with then the main boss requiring less druids in the fight putting less burden on rogues who have to move around to avoid aoes.

2 or 3 weeks ago we were fighting lvl 160 boggan boss and I tried to tank a bit: full frozen, 4,6k hp. I died in 3 secs so I started to kite. And now moste of the time we kite bosses, because you die so fast.
Maybe because you're trying to tank a boss 15 lvls above you..
What does that have to do with tanking?

Ok well still gonna disagree with you here.
I never rebirth or alt anymore, have a good build to tank all bosses and can solo train easily with good damage.

Position tank and boss and almost no adds, so easier on all.

Have correct gear and two druids are fine.

Kiting easy to disrupt too, while tanking not easily disrupted.

But potentially it differs on classes in lvls in grp so maybe we both have a point.
