Your thoughts on druid offhand

#1
Q I'd make a thread were druids can talk about our offhand because the one in general will tutn into a bunch of peoplr saying its better than other offhands
I for one love the druid offhand it looks great and the stats are good enough to drop my lux offhand especially since I don't use regen items plus 50 extra focus a lot bettet than 35 regen and the skill is awesome and u can cast on any1 even if they aren't in group I imagine that will help a lot when killing mordis can't wait until my clan gets enough crowns for us to have extra for the offhand

How do my fellow druids feel about it

I feel meh on the offhand. Bada has been killing every snorri, rockhide, and stonecrusher minus a couple since the update hit to find enough crowns, literally 24/7 whilst battling against a rival clan for lock. For a 50 focus boost that adds 16.5 touch and 4 to all other skills it's pathetic for how long it took us to get one.

Maybe the chaos ward skill is very beneficial, but I'm more than content to keep my shadow magic grim and lux offhand until we find more crowns.

I love the druid offhand very very much. The bonus 300 focus compared to the 250 focus the other lux offhand gives is great. It also adds 150 divine damage which is really helpful for melee druids during boss fights. Lastly, it adds 200 chaos resist which helps during boss fights.

P.S. the skill it gives is amazing because it raises your resist to chaos like a ward would do to any other evasion.

Do you actually have the offhand? Because it sounds like you didn't really read my first post. 50 focus has minimal effect to skills, it takes away 25 in combat regen, and no druid worth being at the top is going to be using the divine damage it adds. 200 chaos res, on top of 1600 is helpful, but not something to go wild over.

The skill adds 600 chaos resist with a duration of 20 secs and a cooldown of 1 1/2 mins I believe to all players nearby. Eh, ya that's neat and I'm sure helpful, just not something I would need yesterday.

It does look legit though ;)

I say blah to both of the new druid dragonlord weapons. In combat energy regen is the biggest problem we druids are having at the moment. The other bonuses just seem weak to me. I'll probably stick with my grimorie and lux offhand until i just have the extra pieces to get it. Lol kinda reminds me of warden, meteoric, and frozen druid weapon. I'd get drags for warden but would pass them to clanmates and alts that could make better use of them. The diamonds I got for meteoric weapon i would pass off to clanmates and alts that could put them to better use. Frost orbs I gained that i could put towards my weapon were given out by myself to equip others in frozen since, once again, it was more beneficial. Once again with dragonlord main and offhand, I'd rather equip my fellow druids in full armor first. Ahhh nostalgia....

I know everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion but are you serious?

1) 50 focus difference from dragon compared to lux is really nothing for high lv druids. Better than nothing I supposed but blah
2) Divine dmg obviously only works on chaos mobs so it does zero benefit for levelling.
3) 200 chaos resist is helpful but blah really
4) I supposed 600 chaos skill from skill can be helpful but its neither here or there

At the end of the day, you have to think it common sense wise. What are druids usually doing in boss fights, they can:
A) Support skills - Rooting, Abundance, Sant etc
B) Healing skills - Embrace, touch, breath
C) Damage skills - Vines, bees, strike etc

So again common sense wise, A - C all needs energy and druids are suffering heaps from high energy cost which is not sustainable. These druids probably have energy sigils which they desperately rely on. So which you rather prefer:
A) Have the druid wack the mob/boss with their pitful totem + offhand which results in zero energy in exchange for some miserable dmg
B) Have the druid rest and regain all possible energy via sigils and start casting them again

Im really disappointed in main and offhand dragon weapon. It is

1) Not practical
2) No wow factor
3) Vendor items / lux is actually comparable to quest items

Sad really.... I think my CH days are coming to an end soon as well.
