Putting a couple posts together, you'll get your answer. But to sum it all up and add my own bit of opinion and fact, here is what I have to say...

When choosing which weapon to go with, assuming dps remains the same, there are both pros and cons when it comes to weapon speed. For instance, the mainhand itself may not matter but the gear your wearing according to your chosen weapon does. A faster striking weapon will benefit your dps when you equip more damage gear than a slower striking weapon. On the other hand, skills that hurt only in defense such as cloaking skills on bosses or others will shred anyone that attacks fast enough.

It all comes down to attack speed and damage type here. In regards to damage type, slash is much more common than crush and so mages will most likely have a high lure of soldiers rather than giants. And since the best weapon in game is a sword, OTM will most likely keep slash defenses to a neutral, especially since there are two slash weapons for a warrior and a majority of warriors use a sword. Crush damage does seem to be a weakness at times but there are trade-offs such as te need to raise two abilities before more content is introduced incase crush damage (a minority type of physical damage) is heavily resisted by a vital type of mobs or bosses.

If you're planning on using skills as a main source of dps, go with a hammer for the harder hits. If you're relying on your auto attack to do most of your damage, go with a one-hamded axe and a damage offhand. Two-Handed weapons are more for skills, so go with a hammer in that case for the same reason I listed above. Good luck!

Blunt is much better, most mobs of carrowmore are weaker to blunt than slash, blunt has better damage and the 200 speed doesnt really matter if you combo lix or use super haste+.

If you use axe with super haste it would be even faster -_-
