I don't remember saying that it was the best mage weapon. Was just replying to someone saying all end game mage weapons were useless.

How much does your bolt do? And obviously your deluded, since you seem to think that firebolt and storm are the only dmg spell. Shards, ice bolt, cloak, attunes that make ice and fire spells stronger. How much dmg would it be then compared to a lowly dmg offhand? And then add how much foc the other offs add, increasing spell dmg.

Md had good build melle mage expensive tho no main hand wep get a axe offhand fire with some radiant aggy fire rings max cloak fire lure incinerate for dot energy shield and go streight h2h hitting 600's and 800's with incin plus cloak have like 200 focus to cast ur spells and like 700 vit u cant say thats a bad build cause i spank any caster mage and most rogues if your going h2h actually go "h2h" and buff auto hit like hell its very expensive tho

Also if your going h2h your going to need alot of attack so max your h2h ability and max your willpower ability because if a mob does wind on you your basically screwed and cloak/incinerate only dmg skills

what about a hybrid say, a caster that had a primal blade (for regen and does a little dmg), haste ring, and maybe h2h but put points into firebolt, firestorm, cloak, attone, e shield, lure, and incinerate? or maybe a different offhand

actually hybrid mages sucks, believe me
well ik how good h2h mages can be, i stopped trying to be one, its fun too but u need to have good stuff so it'll be really effective

i wouldnt say cloak is very good tho, maybe storm/attune, inc sucks too
u need to have es, even lesser isnt really the best, u need to buy the best dmg helm, fire offhand, dmg ammy, dmg bracelets, dmg rings (skills rings everyone need), dmg charms
all of those are the hardest stuff to get, im stuck with lesser solstice bp and greaves + greater solstice ammy so i quit being h2h mage, and my offhands+helms were already ice

h2h is good, sometimes fun sometimes annoying if u like using skills like some of us, the stats r easy to build but need to choose the best skills and the best dmg gear which cost tons
if u got sigils u can go for freeze btw, soloing with freeze can give u time to lure (it wont break the freeze) or regen

I successfully run a h2h hybrid mage at 129 and I solo very well. I'm currently using greater es bp, greaves and boots, rad es gloves and 70 hear dmg helm. Fiery axe offhand, max h2h, talisman of earth, 20 heat dmg charm, some heat dmg rings, +5 energy shield ring and +3 fire attune ring. 100 lux hp brace, and will me picking up brace of con or cloaking.

For skills I'm using
30/30 bolt
30/30 storm
20/30 lure
26/30 eshield
Rest in Attune, I think it's around 25ish

250vit and rest in focus.

I'm usually super comboing it up which lets me tear through mobs even 4* without using pots. Storm and bolt hit for around 900-1700 with attune and lure. Even without combos, I can solo 3* and some 4* up to 5 lvls above me with little issue.
