I am pretty disappointed so far with Beast Bone armor and I am thinking of selling the rest of my shards.

Can anyone please link the Ancient version of all this gear? Or describe the stats? I am a 100% Ice Mage, and so far I haven't seen enough improvement to give up my frozen armor bonuses.

Skirt gives extra damage to ice blast, and bp gives extra damage to ice shards. Keep in mind the skirt I have is ancient beastbone, whereas the bp is only beastbone; not ancient. The ancient version would give double the amount of damage bonus, and a tiny addition to armour/resists/ect.

Thank you for the response. This now begs the interesting question of combining Dragon and Ancient Beast Bone armor parts to create the best Fire or Ice Mage bonuses. Or will full Dragon gear bonuses be too good to give up?

Makes me want a full set of each so that I can have the options I guess.

well boots has energy boost, hmm i dont remember which one gives u ice blast, i think helm
dl gloves gives firebolt so use maybe wyrmbone for some focus

Probably would have been nice for ice mage before the ice blast nerf.

One good strategy for ice mage would be to equipt ancient beastbone skirt (extra damage for iceblast) and dragonlord helm (5 skill points to ice blast).

Unfortunately, dragon gloves gives the fire bolt skill points and beastbone gloves gives extra fire bolt damage, so you can't use both.

Go for ancient beastbone which starts in the 140s (I think). The first 2 pieces will help you a lot, and once you hit 160 get ancient wyrmbone pieces for the parts of beastbone armour that don't help you out for lots of focus bonus.

The other thing to consider is energy/regen. Bone armor gives direct damage (no energy cost) while dragonlord is skill points (usual energy cost). If you have trouble keeping up your energy, you might want to keep bone. Maybe just for one or two skills that you don't use often.
