As far as the game's history can tell us, mounts are event items... not Update items.

When the summer event finishes we can expect the Dragonstaffs to be removed.

That being said, if history is any indication of what is to come, there is a decent chance that there will be a Fall or Winter event (or both), where there is a decent possibility of new mounts.

So if you don't get something now, you can probably get something in the fall or winter.

No guarantees though.
