I'm a Mage lvl 65 and i heard from many sides about "firestorm" and " iceblast" but i dont know how to get them?
Also i have a great problem with my health, i put the 5 points always one at each and the last one at attack or health, but it's really bad to fight alone against others!
So please where could i get firestorm and iceblast and what is the best way to put the points on?
And maybe, which skills i should lvl up and which are not so good?
Please help! Thanks!
Re: Where do i get firebolt or iceblast ?
#2firestorm from OW bosses iceblast in fingals cave
ur points should be in vit and focus only majority in focus and enough in vit to hav a good amount of health
also need to know what build ur going for fire or ice if ur going fire u will need fire attune and firestorm u will max fire attune and firebolt at least and some points in firestorm and e boost if u hav energy problems at ur lvl u might not need to use lures yet if u like e shield put points in it instead of firestorm if ice u want to max ice attune and ice shards basically same idea as fire build but with ice skills if anyone else has a better idea for his lvl plz post

Re: Where do i get firebolt or iceblast ?
#3I want to have both - fire and ice, because sometimes is fire better and sometimes ice and if an enemy is resistant i can take the one which works.
Thats why i am not sure how to put my skill points.
And where in Fingals cave please?
And thank you for your fast answer!

Re: Where do i get firebolt or iceblast ?
#4Was confused by the thread title since fire bolt is the skill you start with... But now that I know you mean fire storm, what pharlex said is quite accurate. Same with ice blast.
So the cons and pros of fire and ice, as well as both combined.
The pros for fire mage are that the energy cost is low, cool down of skills is low and there are more skills that deal heat damage compared to ice mage. The cons is that it would take several hits to take down a mob, and there are more heat resistant mobs overall compared to ice.
Pros for ice mage are that the damage per spell is insane. That's... pretty much it. The large list of cons include very high cool down, meaning an evasion could be the difference between killing a mob or dying, energy cost is very high and there are only 2 ice skills that are half decent.
The pros for having both fire and ice mage include being able to damage both heat and cold resistant mobs pretty well, and being able to mix cons of fire and ice mage to make a decent build. The main con is that you can only use one attunement, so only one element will be the dominating dps for you.
If you're going for a ice mage, the typical skills are: ice blast, ice shards, ice lure, ice attunement, then whatever you want. You'd try maxing shards and attunement first and keeping ice blast almost maxed until you have the points to max.
For fire mage, you'd go for fire storm, fire bolt, fire lure, fire attunement, and then whatever skills that suit you. You have to max fire bolt and fire storm and keep attunement almost maxed before getting the points you have to max.
Keep lures at half of your max skill cap, so at level 120, your lure should be around 15, at 150 should go up to around 17 and 180 should be around 20.
If you're leveling in a group, have a decent assassins lure to boost pierce dps and put points in eshield or eboost if you need.
