Hi there, we have the code now to create a free for all arena, a group v group arena and a clan v clan arena.

It would be easy enough to create all 3 arenas and put then in the update, however the issue is that if we make 3 arenas there will be less people in each arena, and for pvp you need other people to fight against.

However on the flip side it would be fun to arrange something like a clan v clan challenge or just go on a free for all rampage.

So I'd like to know what you think would be the best thing to do in the update. Would you actively organise pvp events or would it be more a drop-in type activity.

I think there is a place for each type of arena.

A free-for-all arena would be chaotic and certainly will be prowling ground for high level griefers.
Group v group would be more strategic, and clan v clan will be place for bragging rights and settling disputes.

I that the three areas would be great the less people in each area the less chance for a lagging fight.

Also i love the idea of a free for all cause there are some lowbies i would love to lure into the area with promises of helping them and crush them for spammin me with trades and wispers and group invites durring a boss run.

Im very much looking forward to the group dynamics of pvp seeing how we can implement new stradegys on a enemy that thinks instead of something that just attacks when you get close. And se if we can apply our new formed pvp stradegys in with our boss killing.

Then clan v clan would be a great way to vent and give some bragging rights tillother wise defeated.

OK thanks, I agree that a choice is great, I'm just worried about less players in each arena meaning less fun. Remember adding 3 arenas to each world means players get more spread out.

It would be different if we could do an inter-world arena in future (which I would love but it won't be in this update), because then we would have tons of players.

i dont like arenas i like to roam around and ask people to accept pvp

I think that asking people should be an option but not a ranking option that should be more or less to test your skills before entering the arena or haveing fun with a friend.

The arenas are good they should be were the real kills count.

How about 2 free for all and a team one team one has two gate which gate you use sets what team your on
The free for all would be one gate but drops you in at one of 20 locations just to stop gate campers add to this some level 50 boss type thing the king of the ring he drops a prize but it's a free for all so people can bump each other off while trying to kill the boss or just avoid him while he patrols the zone having something that wanders about will also stop the insta gib gate campers the boss drop thing would have to be good enough to temp players in but no so good that you get clans camping it I'd suggest an untradable ring or neccy like the tamlin sword quest good enough so people want it but untradable so they don't farm it
The team arena would need an objective kill the opposition or hold a zone till timer runs out
I would also suggest that game does not start until both teams r full say 7 or 10 a side have a number on have saying how many places r availible aswell don't want to sit there waiting for an entire opposite team to turn up
Plus you could end up with groups just using it as a chat room so a timer is a definite requirement

Arenas? Admin this isint what I thought you meant when you said PvP.


I imagined, for example, my freind and I find eachother in lies reach, I click on him, and click the search button, then invite to a PvP battle right where we are, that's the best way to do it.



Also, I wanted an area in the game where EVERYONE is hostile, and if you can't Handel defeating at least one person in that area then you just arnt ready.


Please think about this World Of Midguard is going to be released sometime around when your update is released, that said, you really should think about this whole PvP situation Arenas are NOT the way to go.



(Unless of course it is a CLANvsCLAN which is COMPLETELY different than PvP for CvC I do want an Arena)
