Rapid Shot has a fixed cool down after the update. Then again, perhaps I am just a moron.

I did a simple test with Long Shot so the OP can make an informed decision about the skill.
75 points of Dex increased Long Shot damage 4.2%
75 points of Str increased it 2.6%

I agree that Dex has a larger effect on Long Shot damage but Str plays a role as well.

As you can see there is a range of opinions on builds. There isn't a "one build fits all" but I hope the responses help you with your ranger. I think everyone has to tweak their build from time to time to match their style of play. Good luck to you.

as for the the OP, i just notices how rapid shot has changed or according to some ppl it got "fixed"
i would still keep it on lvl 1, the time it lasts will do enough dmg, its only the cd which got changed, hopefully they refix that to how it was pre-update, now if u dont put skill pts into rapid shot its kinda lame, and if u do put pts u lost skill pts that u could put on a better dps skill

You guys are all morons.

Longshot is affected by both dex and ure auto DAMAGE. It is not related at all to str, except unintentionally buly str affecting ure auto dmg, this increasing longshot.
