there may have been other topics on this exact same thing but im wondering if it would be better to make a fire mage or an ice mage

fire is DPS
ice is DMG

ice skills hits higher but, cost more energy, slower casting, slower cooldown
fire does lower dmg (well sometimes even higher), cost less energy (i think firestorm cost more than shards but iceblast tops them all), faster casting, faster cooldown

at higher lvl, if ur pure fire mage with attune, bolt and storm maxed (lure doesnt need to be maxed), u can max 5th skill, if ur pure dps mage, so instead of e shield use ice shards, nice dmg, fast casting, not that long cooldown

ummm so fire mage is my best option?
