So there's been alot of arguments lately about the new stat plateau.
FYI if you don't know stat plateau is the point where after x amount of pt in this stat (str/dex/foc/vit) addtional pts won't have as much effect.
So where exactly is the stat plataue?
Is it still at 300?
Re: Is 300 THE plataeu?
#2Vit dex and focus have no plateau
They do in terms of effect on skills but not the stats they provide
The str plateau depends in how much physical damage gear you have

#4For Druids and Mages, there is no plateau on Focus.

#5Str plateau is not 300 it is reflected by how much physical damage gear you have

#6The Strength plateau is within the first 50 stat points.. It just starts to take the piss after a certain amount of time (depending on how much physical gear, as previously said).

#8When people talk about a focus plateau, they are talking about how little focus effects spell power at high levels. 100 added focus from 500-600 has an amazingly pathetic effect on spells. I hope someday this is looked at. As has been said before, this aspect of the game hasn't been changed to account for people being 150+.

#9what exactly needs looked at? the fact that I can obtain the plateau with focus gear, allowing me to spend points on vit? When people talk about a focus plateau, they are talking about how little focus effects spell power at high levels. 100 added focus from 500-600 has an amazingly pathetic effect on spells. or the fact that if there was no plateau and I could heal for 5k, they would counter that with double or triple mob damage/hp.
what I hear you saying is this... let me heal/damage for more, while keeping everything else the same.
In OTMs defense, Last time I soloed I was perfectly capable of taking a same lvl two star mob with no reso pot. that seems close to balanced in my eyes. (I am not talking energy balance here, that is a whole different subject)
and where do you get the 150+ number from? at around lvl 60 you are able to achieve 300 focus (58 actually if we start with 10, I don't remember exactly). which means, after lvl 60, if there is a plateau, you will start seeing diminishing returns on skill power per focus spent. except for the fact that your nature magic is also increasing every level, adding more power to each focus as this ability increases.
so again I ask, what exactly are you unhappy with? all we are dealing with here is non linearity. quite reflective of the real world if you ask me.
PS. they are skills, not spells.
