Hey guys,

I personally do not have a problem to give up dicing for DL drops until druids higher then I am are equipped. I do not need DL to be happy, if you do, I am more than happy to help you get it so you could enjoy the game more.

I vote to stop this drama.

Why do not we make a very simple agreement?

The DL armor parts have level requirements. So let's make a list of items required for each armor part and the drop or even drops go to the highest level player who needs it. This way those highest level get fully equipped fast without a drama and it will also work as an incentive for people to level up more. The higher level you are, the better chance is that you get a DL item. If people are at the same level, they could dice, but only those highest.

Higher levels will then help better to equip lower levels, help us to save resources, and Lugh might be finally mature enough to do Hrunghir. Also there will be no more drama when everyone is stashing one egg and is frustrated because no one has anything for he could not get another egg. It will also solve the alts in fights problem, because most alts are lower levels then mains and so they won't get items so much.

I say, let's stop the drama now and do SOMETHING. ANYTHING you are willing to agree on, but if you do not agree, be constructive and give another REASONABLE proposal. Everyone could say no to anything if he does not need to say why he said now and for what he would say yes. Also this turned out to just pointing to others instead of looking what YOU can do to resolve situation. So let's move forward and let Lugh grow up a bit.

Looking forward to your reactions.

Not sure why my name is mentioned by venus.....how often do you see me dual device? You seem to be pointing a finger at me for no reason.....if you look closely, you will see three fingers pointing back at yourself.

~Sabre
He only named you because you were yet another person that dual devices, even if you rarely do it.

Have you guys noticed those that dual device vote for both dicing and those that do not vote against? Just pointing that out lol. (Excluding Azz, of course)
I can attest that Vulture does not just sit on auto attack the whole time, he does use skills and does adds plenty etc. He does not sit there AFK whilst Venus heals.
I'm not entirely sure why this is popping up so suddenly, it's how we did it for quite a while and only now is it changing.
Venus/Vulture has been named specifically in this thread as one that wants to dice for his "alt" that tags along. However as with Wytt, Lady, etc., they are not "alts", only a second character they play. They play both at the same time and have done it long enough that they are pretty dang good at it. Close enough to the point where they may as well be two different people, and if they were not known as the same person nobody would complain at all.
It seems to me that when people that primarily focus on one account, then try dual devicing a couple times, are generally the ones to push that the "alt" is not useful. Their inexperience with playing two devices is likely to be the cause of this thought. Once you spend a lot of time dual devicing it becomes second nature when playing the game. As when you multitask irl, you become better and better at dividing your attention.

In my opinion alts should be allowed to roll for dragonlord drops, if it is in agreement that the player is one of those who do it regularly. I would not expect to randomly bring an alt of mine to a fight and be able to dice for both, since I am not at all good when it comes to dual devicing. I'm too lazy to pay attention to more than just Helicopter. :D

Venus/vulture, your name was mentioned because of your post and because in my experience you've been double dicing for a while. That's all. My concern is for all double dicing not just you. In the beginning we kinda needed alts. There weren't enough people on at high enough levels. Now they aren't necessary. Just optional. I will be back participating in 6* fights hoping these discussions have leveled everything out and hopefully reduced drama. Plus I want to support/represent my clan. It's good that we are all talking and trying to work stuff out. In the long run, the server will be better because of it.

I think that it has a lot to do with the fact that a ton of people have been showing up at some fights lately - much more than enough. But then we have some others where we have to ask for alts because they are needed.

That is why I mentioned in one of my other posts that I usually don't say anything b/c I almost don't think it is fair that we get to choose when we need them. We keep bugging them about it and then they might not come when we do need them and we have to wait longer to get bosses done.

I have a idea on how u can get everyone dragon lord armour quicker. If u just focus on one person at a time and get them the full set then i can move onto the next person. So someone could make a list of all the people that are elegiable to gain dl armour then the highest lvls get it first and the lower lvl last. So then it will be fair and much more quicker. U could post this list on the forums.

Hey guys,

So let's make a list of items required for each armor part and the drop or even drops go to the highest level player who needs it. This way those highest level get fully equipped fast without a drama and it will also work as an incentive for people to level up more. The higher level you are, the better chance is that you get a DL item. If people are at the same level, they could dice, but only those highest.

Toy
This was brought up at the beginning of this recent discussion. We even talked about how it would have to include the most active high level players. It was quickly dismissed b/c people seemed to think that choosing those people would create even more drama.

I don't think that you can just go by highest level player, b/c there doesn't seem much point in outfitting someone who isn't on much to use it.

I would think that it might work within a small class though, as an experiment. Instead of doing it for everyone, try to get one class on board and start with them. Maybe the smallest class or the one that is tightest as friends or the most people in the same clan.

Or maybe take rank into account when you dice. If a 180 dices a 160, then the higher level gets to add the difference in rank to their roll. Weighted rolls to give a boost to higher levels. (except for me b/c it is my idea ;) )

'Active' is a subjective term. There are ppl all over the world playing. While some bosses are up and being killed, I'm at work. I can't help that. Spigot is literally half way around the world from me. It's the same for him. There's a 2-3 hour window where were both on together. Doesn't make either of us any less active. I don't know where everyone lives and their schedule. I see Kapec alot but not at bosses. Does he refuse or do we not call him? Or is he not on when they're up? Callator is on vacation at the moment, otherwise he's extremely active. Then you have some people who ONLY log on to do boss fights then leave. It's another debatable topic...everyone in the top 20 levels is pretty much active I think but I can say I haven't seen Garys for a while. Idk his schedule or if he hasn't been on. If you KNOW someone isn't active or is away then I guess it'd be ok.

i have many issues with choosing people to outfit:

i much prefer to get drops from someone cause they want to give to me, not because they were forced.

what happens if i solo a ph4 and get a drop. if i get enough and someone sees me with gloves am i exiled forever. hardly seems fair

if i were lower level, why would i ever bother to go to a boss fight? there may be 15 people 'in front' of me

and how in the world would we ever make a list we can agree on. maybe mages and rangers could do it cause we are somewhat small. but the others? and even with rangers, there are about 6 high level rangers, but some dont show up to a ton of fights (but to some fights) but are really high level.

The keys to a working system imo:
1. the rules have to be consistent and fair
2. people, for the most part, have to accept them and understand them
3. there shouldnt be a lot of room to cheat
4. People should have a reason to keep leveling, camping, and coming to boss fights
5. it has to be better than what we had

Our current rules basically satisfy these requirements. With the exception of the rule about full dl people dicing, which is under review.

my sense is not that we think the rules are bad, but it is just taking sooooo freaking long to collect drops - and to do so requires tons of really boring camping. so, high levels are left with the choice of boring grinding or boring camping. Both are seemingly nearly futile (lvling is very slow and expensive, and we can camp all day and just see the bolg boss drop a blue egg).

i really think making a list will cause far more problems than it solves.

I mean active as in actually playing the game. Not just in coming to each and every boss or even coming to the most. I don't think it would be fair to outfit someone who only plays 10 minutes once or twice a week because they are next in line in rank vs someone a little lower who plays every day or every few days.

FWIW, I am all for coming up with a fair system to outfit the most people in the shortest amount of time by pooling drops. Just not sure we can get everyone involved on board with a plan that will work for everyone.
