To be honest here, I think your rule is fair, but the point of the arena is for killing. Now by no means do I like to kill people or get killed during my arena quest, but if people want to so that, then let them. It shouldn't reflect badly on a clan if people kill in the arena, it should just reflect badly on the person. Just my opinion tho.
I don't think the
only point of the arena is for killing. Some of us don't enjoy killing. I go there to kill a gladiator and leave. My main is a healer and at lvl 124 I have just over 1k health. I am not a threat. Killing healers in the arena is just plain bullying...OR...it is players KSing out of greed. This happened to me just 2 nights ago when 2 members of a prominent clan began randomly killing people for fun. One of them even went so far as to tell me he was helping me with Crammock then actually took the kill and laughed it off. What can I do? I am a healer so I just have to bend over and take it. Starting a "Clan War" in the arena is just a waste of my clan's time. However, when players go to the arena with the mindset that "the arena is just for killing" it creates dissention, animosity, and strife.
That's not what I am about.
As I inicated in my first post on this thread, I am
ALL about kindness. It is my constant and unwavering focus. I will go to great lengths to attain it and I expect it in my clan members at all times. The killers belong in one of the other 2 elite clans. I have ranted before about how greed is the currency of Gwydion and I except it. However, if I stay true to my vision and my clan holds strong to the belief that having fun and being chivalrous are the greater reward then I can devalue greed and create an alternate currency of kindness for those that seek it. The members of those other clans will have a place to go when they grow tired of their gloating, bragging, and sociopathic counterparts.
