Honestly I don't know..
i am a level 181 druids
i have full DL
I have 50/40 lightning, 45/40 vines, 40/40 swarm, 50/40 bark, 50/40 touch
1,030 focus and 245 Vitality
I have +85 Energy Rejuv.
My problem is I can never solo Killian without using a E-lix before I start.
This is a major pain, and I have lost my turn several times.
I am constantly having to get help in order to finish.
I get about HALF way on Killian and my energy is gone, unless I lix.
THIS IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
I am 11 level Higher that the stupid gladiator and I find it impossible to solo....
FIX OUR ENERGY ISSUES!!!!!!
I am so sick of this....
Btw...
My level 180 Rouge can solo without using any skill and just auto'ing and he still will have more than 50% Heath...
And he doesn't have full DL!!!!!
FIX IT OTM!

Re: How do you solo Killain?
#3Hey Perl
Its pretty easy actually but yes you need one of the following conditions to be fulfilled if u wan to kill Killain
1) Energy Lix or other potions as mentioned
2) Help from others as mentioned (Not solo I know)
3) Drop one skill and switch to roots. (Really easy if you have good sigils as you can get yr energy refilled or play a waiting game using yr available energy regain items. Root, strike vine strike root and rest for sigils or meditate)
4) Drop one skill and switch to HW and use + defence items which will help. (Also a waiting game as the point here is rely more on yr melee dmg rather than skills as yr energy is limited. My preference with this build is Bone totem / Dragon totem along with defence trident offhand + some defence gear, HW mode on, Vines and melee all the way and few strikes here and then to hasten process. Only use touch if its necessary)
The thing with Killain you should aim is not to use nature touch at all as
A) Energy cost is deadly
B) Yr getting peanuts worth of health back.
Im happy to discuss more with you if this is still not working out. Cheers

MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

Re: How do you solo Killain?
#4DoT spells, roots, and tons of energy sigils XD (oops I'm not there yet ), probably how I'd do it.
Re: How do you solo Killain?
#5This a good example of lack of class balance but the solution is to dot and root sigils inbetween.
Takes a while unless geared up with good vines rings but it works
Greenleif struggles more than DingoSirius(different amounts of sigils) so I really sympathise with druids who haven't spent a ton of plat supercharging their toons with sigils.

Re: How do you solo Killain?
#6Hello, I am level 174 and I have been soloing Killian. I use roots at 37, i root him back away let regens kick in and start attacking again. Not the fastest nor most efficient, however i do solo him. Hope this helps you.
Re: How do you solo Killain?
#7I have done the root route and still run our of energy.
I sit there with Killian at 25% health and I have no energy to recast.
Again... Why should this be so hard????

Re: How do you solo Killain?
#8I'm not up to killian but with Ragnor i have figured not to use swarm and storm as they drain your energy like crazy and arnt worth the damage.
I usually just root and run while using vines and lightning only. Best dps skills. Next time dont use swarm at all and see how that works for ya

Re: How do you solo Killain?
#10This is the crux of Druid problems.
I could tell you your problem is you have raised your dps skills too high as to be energy efficient and that you should back Vines, Lightning, Swarm, touch, etc down to the point where they cost 150-250 energy (probably around 35 skill level). If you think about your skills in terms of how often you plan to cast them and the duration of a battle you will see how many times you can cast before your energy hits 0.
Of course by doing this, you greatly reduce your potential damage and your solo viability as well. Then again, having powerful spells you cannot cast enough times in a battle to defeat your opponent is not helpful either...
This is the crux of the Druid energy problems. Energy costs are too high to be able to cast enough to solo with any efficiency, whether when using Knowledge elixirs or doing something like the arena boss.
I am not suggesting that you should be forced to go with considerably lower skill investments in the spells you cast the most throughout a fight, but it would seem necessary until some time OTM decides to adjust Druid energy... And of course, by lowering the skill potency enough to maintain energy for the duration of those longer fights, you substantially increase the length of time it will take you to win the fight.
