At first I wondered why there are almost as many Connacht captains as Connacht soldiers in Shalemont ravine. One would think that a captain is in command of many soldiers, lets say one captain has 50 soldiers.
However there are a lot of women and little children and sick men who are elsewhere, you dont see them in Shalemont ravine, because they are busy elsewhere.
Also the many Connacht soldiers who dont show up in Shalemont ravine are patroll the outer regions in the non battlefield, to chase away common thiefs and burglars.
