Hmmm I'm not sure which following elements is best for soloing and not that many mobs have resistance to it: Ice, fire or magic. I kind of dislike ice since tons of people on my server has it.

For soloing, magic/poison damage is the best.

^magic is best for soloing^

most unresisted damage (pretty much what everyone else said)

flame is most resisted damage but mages use lures

ice is somewhere in middle

A clanmate told me it sucked (level 120). I guess his facts were wrong.

The nee enemys have way more ice than fire res, fire owns ice

i believe that most of mobs got higher fire resist than ice, almost none got higher magic resist

almost no mage uses magic lure, most of them are fire mages now, so ppl buy fire offhands
