Your joking right..if this is considered a genius strategy you need to play more mmos. To answer some questions. Root fails so does bolas.. Then add another druid and another till it stays rooted, common sense if u dont have enough then add more to it. It's as simple as I cant tank it so the next best thing is keep it from hitting me. Who kills adds? Wow how about the people who can't auto hrung? Never thought that one... Disrupt heal I might give u that one simply bcuz must tanks dont use it until update 4 now its mandatory. But again.. If u dont want a skill to happen hey what skill makes a skill interrupted.. I think thats bash. Right? You completely over complicate the thought process in this.Who do you root kill? Who kills adds? How much DPS will you need to kill those adds? How do you make sure that the heal is interrupted every time? How do you prevent people from dying and wasting any effect they have on them (tonic for example)? What if multiple roots fail? What if someone gets too close and it AoE's? Where should someone Expose/Smoke from? Where should the boss be rooted? What should close-range DPS do?If refering to root killing a mob as a serious strategy then wow.
Rooting a boss could be part of a viable strategy.. It is the things that you do aswell as that, that would make it a potentially good strategy.
Did you even see when they killed Hrungnir pre-patch? If it was simple rooting, then other clans would have done too... Use your noggin.
In other mmos you had more mob resists and all spells used a resist system and would not work if the resist wasn't not debuffed so you would need a series of debuff in order to get them to work. Finding that order was not easy especially while your trying to tank it. Areas if u walked you would get lava splashes and instantly die. You had separate your clan into smaller groups and kill things on different islands in a specific order. Insane amounts of mobs that spawn instantly and continuously until the boss was dead (20 at all times.) actual debuffs where you lose a ton of resists and you would actually need that resist not like in this game. Armor debuffs death touches energy drains where u would need a mage to boost u to be any use. This is a simplified version of what i seen and did require real testing and ways to counter.
But to honestly say casting a root on a mob is difficult.. Killing a few adds that are slightly harder than xp mobs and bashing bcuz you want to interrupt a skill as a heinous tactic then again i say wow.
