Lol did you see what I said after though. Jewish people have 1000x more followers. And god didnt do that. People who rejected god did this.
hitler was a deist, and most germans at the time were religious
Exactly he rejected god.

I'm not sure why some of you folks think you can get everyone to agree with you about religion or the existence of God or not, in a gaming forum. I suppose it's cool to debate controversial topics, but man, this thread is futile. Why do you think there are over 4,000 religions in the world?

There are two types of people in this world: Those who crave closure

A business is more profitable if they don't gouge and piss off customers.

all of hitlers beliefs and opinions were corrupted due to the perversion of his personal morality so they are all irrelevant.

I have never understood why people themselves and what they do is used to argue belief. For example "Catholics cant be right cause some of their priests molest children." What do the actions of men have to do with whether or not a matter is true or false? These same people will of course go to the doctor when they are sick, visit lawyers for legal matters and send their children to school despite the corruption that lies in those places (10x more child issues with teachers btw than all priests of all faiths combined).

The truth of a matter is not reliant upon people and Hitler is a horrible example for anything.

Roman records have proof of Jesus birth and existence however whether you think he is the son of god or if there even is a god is up to you. anyway i don't think religion needs proof if you proved god to be real than whats the point in faith if you know he exists, God is testing you.

some people take religion to far like extremists

also the bible was not directly written by god obviously some of the things are less than truthful.
like god promising Palestine to Israel and the united states backs this (who says no one bosses the united states around, Im not going to go into conspiracies but yea)

anyway many biblical laws have been changed, church on Sundays come on.... and hate is also a sin but that doesn't stop me from wanting to murder every killer, rapist on T.V very slowly with a plastic knife

anyway even if you don't believe in any religion, when you were born you signed a social contract (imaginary) to do good and not kill anyone on sight...
so do good things, just because you fear being dammed should not be a reason

Anyway i strongly consider you to rethink this (yes i am christian :D ) and if you ignore or annoyed by this no hard feelings
i get annoyed when every Mormon comes knocking on my door this is not racists it actually happens

Vatican
From the Latin vaticanus, meaning place of the sorcerers

Amen

As Christians finish their prayers, which they send through the “son of God”, they say “amen”, which I learned in church meant “so be it”. A little study shows something slightly different. The word derives from an ancient Egyptian god, Amen-Ra or Amun-Ra. Amun was an old god, but as his cult grew larger, he became associated with Ra-Herakhty (Ra + Horus, the gods of the “sun”-worshipers) who sent their prayers through the “sun of god”, Amen-Ra.

Israel

What is Israel? Is this a real place? The country we refer to as Israel is very recent. Many people assume this is what is spoken of in the Bible, but it was not called Israel. It was part of a territory called “Canaan” which included modern-day Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, and parts of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. A brief look into the etymology of the word reveals something interesting.

Isis was part of the Egyptian trinity with her husband and brother Osiris and their son, Horus, literally the sun and son of god. (In the later merging of sun-cults, Horus was combined with Ra and was known as Ra-Herakhty).

Ra is an ancient Egyptian sun god, mostly associated with the midday sun, but of which all other gods were a form.

El means “god” or “God” in Hebrew and other Semitic languages (plural “elohim”), but was also the father god of the Canaanites.

As you can see from the pattern, when two sun-worshiping cults merged, they merged the names of their gods, as in Ra + Horus = Ra-Herakhty and Amun + Ra-Herakhty = Amun-Ra. Isn’t it interesting that Isis + Ra + El = Israel?

Israel was a term for the merging of the cults in the land of Canaan, and armed with this knowledge, you can decode some of the mysteries of the Torah and the Bible.

Christmas, Paganism, and the Winter Solstice

The winter solstice was known as “Yule” in old Europe, from the Norse “jul” meaning “wheel”. It is the Pagan celebration of Light and the rebirth of the sun, which goes around a “wheel” or “cycle” through the zodiac. The winter solstice is the longest night of the year and as it approached people were worried it would disappear and not return, so they celebrated the light in the hopes that the sun would return quickly. In Rev 22:16 Jesus says: “I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”. What is the morning star? Why do Christians worship on SUNday? Reread the Bible, interchanging sun with son, and you’ll begin to get the idea of what Israel means and where Christianity came from.

The ancient Romans celebrated Saturnalia, a tribute to Saturn, beginning December 17th, during which evergreen trees were decorated with fruits and other ornaments.
On the winter solstice, the sun is at it’s southernmost position of the year, over the Tropic of Capricorn (so named because this occurs when the sun is in Capricorn; similarly with the Tropic of Cancer and the summer solstice, and the Equator at the two equinoxes). The ancients believed that the sun had actually died. The sun remained at this place of death, near the Southern Cross (“Crux”) for 3 days, then the sun (read “son”) rose again, one degree in the sky, signifying that the days would begin to get longer and the light of the world would again overcome darkness. The birth of the sun/son was celebrated, on December 25, after receiving this sign, and again at the Vernal Equinox (Spring, Easter) because it is at that point the night and day are equal and from that point forward the sun will overpower the darkness and evil, or devil.

We find that the whole story of the birth of Jesus is encoded in the stars. On December 25, we are in the sign of Capricorn. At sunrise on that day, the Earth has rotated 180 degrees, and the sun rises in Cancer. There is a constellation in Cancer known as the manger. To the east, at sunrise, is Virgo, the virgin mother, overlooking the sun’s birth in the manger. To the west is Taurus. Inside Taurus is Orion. The three stars in the belt of Orion are known as the “three kings”. At the time of the sun’s birth, if you draw an imaginary line through the three kings and the bright star, Sirius, it point’s to the horizon (from “Horus” the sun/son of god) at sunrise. This is the star leading the “three kings” to the “virgin” birth of the “bright and morning star” in the “manger”. Gold symbolized the sun. Frankincense and myrrh were fragrances burned at solar temples. These were gifts to the sun/son.

Jesus and Lucifer

Again, in Revelations 22:16 Jesus states: “I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”. What is the definition of Lucifer? “Morning star”.
first, its nice to see that u checked all of this, the only thing i can tell ya (im a jew, and i live in israel) that it was "Cnaan" and not "Canaan"
yes 'Cnaan' included much bigger places than the recent israel, actually even not very long ago, the six days war of 1967, when israel 'won' (u dont really win in a war) against 7 countries in 6 days, and conquered many places, like half of the Sinai Mount, which triples the territory of israel, and also many other places that belonged to israel and were held by jordan, and also gaza, and im not 100% sure but i think some of jordan's territory
we gave back most of what we conquered (except what belonged to israel in the first place) after the war of 1973, we were full of ourself after the 'big win' and we got attacked in one of our holy jewish day, by egypt and syria, actually we could have been destroyed if not luck, they thought that its impossible for it to be so easy to just go with tanks all over israel and conquer, so they withdrew, after the war has stopped, we gave back the half of Sinai Mount to Egypt to make peace
this isnt related to the religion part, just wanted to add those little things to Robert's lovely comment

as someone already mentioned, god is testing us, atm i dont really think we can 'pass' the test, hitler did many horrible things and almost killed every existing jew, i still think god was involved, very little kids survived against those stuff (my grandpa has been running since he was 5 untill he was 8 and found hosting family), those survivors could have been easily killed, yet the succeed to run away and few years later, we could see what every jewish person wished for, Israel, our state

and we did many other impossible things even after israel was established, even many years later we were just small country that could almost do nothing (we're still small, but strong), we almost got destroyed like i mentioned at 73', yet we succeed to survive, and we do well, im pretty sure that God has a part of it, but im not objective tho

and btw, if u want, u can find proves for jewdaism, cant explain some of them as we know its very complicated and my poor english wont be enough to make it clear :)
i do not know much about other religions, since we dont really learn much about them (unless u take arabic classes and there u learn the lang, culture and religion), if i remember correctly the christians have the New Bible now, and the old bible was our bible (not really sure, i barely know anything about it, thats just what i heard about)

oh and, even tho i believe and god and i also think hes testing us, i find philosophy very interesting so i cant resist my curiosity about God, many questions have been asked about God, and i would always like to know the answer, even tho the answer would be something that human being cannot understand, and i have no doubt in God or jewdaism

enjoy from this discussion, it is a very important issue, and i hope that my english didnt make any misunderstandings, i might have explained stuff not in the way i tried to, or mixed stuff without noticing, and i hope everyone is commenting respectfully, because this isnt something to laugh about, doesnt matter whats ur religion and if u have one or not.

Dang this is getting long I find it cool and interesting when people state what they believe nobody is going to convert each-other over a CH offtopic lol
The bashing and people trying to disprove God or religion or promote it are just causing an unnecessary fight.

For one person to say "I believe in God" ok great
But if someone else decides to say "God isnt real for etc reasons" This causes unnecessary fighting because one person just offended another.
Its goes both ways too you cant force God on anyone.

"If you have nothing good to say say nothing at all"
People can get along just fine with different beliefs like me and Pigman are pals and great friends with completely opposite views on the topic but we dont bash eachother.

Why do you think there are over 4,000 religions in the world?
What do you mean?
Well, religion in general is a very broad belief in supernatural entities/concepts. This thread proves that there are many different opinions concerning which religion is "real" and doubt of an all powerful scheme, entity, group of entities, etc. There is no 100% guaranteed answer, thus, this thread will eventually end when people lose interest and everyone's belief will remain, for the most part, intact.

Actually there IS a 100% Guaranteed answer and each one of us will get that answer when he or she dies.

When you die, whatever happens WILL happen regardless of what you believe.
