torch can be great, but again i suggest offhand with energy regen
if u can get good enough torch, go with that, 55 could be nice for ur lvl, any better will be great as well

random mobs, they look like the area's mobs with firebrand in their name, if its connahct dude, it'll be connahct firebrand

they drop from firebrands
firebrands are rare human mobs that spawn in human areas

the only ones ive heard of are:

connacht firebrand (connacht)
bloodgrove firebrand (druid in the druid pit in stonevale)
blackstone firebrand (blackstones near fortress in otherworld)
and maybe some little guys in lirs reach drop them too idk

you guise are so helpful to a little noob like me :$ so a torch or a weapon is what I should aim for right? I don't see myself carrying around books

books? u mean aggy or master's grim?
anyway, go with torch as long as u can get good one (35 at least)
still, golden blade is far better, but when u dont have rejuv at all get rejuv offhand (the only energy regen dmg offhand is bodking, dont use orb/grim or something like that)

I finally found a firebrand conn, I rushed him, I looked into my inventory to see a 5 fire damage torch
I thought 10 was bad...
