I kinda agree that ranger should be a bit more powerful before dl other then that there pretty good. Also i think they should increase our skills. My sharpshot is only 50 more dmg then my auto and im full dex. Like wtf?

i already said, as a low lvl, rangers suck compared to others, as an end game class, they're pros, while warriors suck, but the rogue dl dagger still rules

Yes, but not everyone gets that. I believe a key reason is rapid shot is crap until u have it at 40/40 now (the cd is waaaaaaaay too long otherwise its ridiculous). Rapid at one was fine, everyone was relatively happy and the skill wasn't broken, now it is (for everyone who cant get it to 40/40), which is I daresay the majority of the class. OTM FIX THIS PLEASE, thank you. Most skills don't start as bull, they start out okay. But no skill suddenly goes wonderful unless im mistaken and that's the way otm wants it...

Its not rs, its our dam skills. we shouldn't have to put all points into dex just to make the skill effective. we should be able to hybrid (like rogues) and have skills that do more dam than an auto.

Perhaps that's true, but rs is another of our skills... so theoretically we are on the same side just looking at it different ways. I would agree to an overall skill dmg/effectiveness boost, but I still think that one of the key things is rs.

The issue is many of our skills are on the wrong side of the fence. If I'm an auto ranger i want to use skills to increase my auto. I'm 600 str and 250 with gear dex why can't I have sharpen and steady be str based. A dex ranger has about 4 other skills to use long before these especially as far as dps wise. Barb, sharp shot, long all for dmg skills. Light heal and bolas are the given especially for a dex build. You already have 5 skills which you won't be able to max all at once anyways. I can give you the argument sharpen is a group buff and more dex related as far as support. However steady imo should be definitely a str skill. This would give us as a str build; steady, bola, long, double. And if you want them a half useless light heal and rapid if you go that route.

The nerf on rapid shot was just cruel on rangers. I mean before v4 i would have to say rangers where best class. I take that back now.

Well I have rapid at 40 and it currently lasts like 27 seconds and the last 10 points i bet I'd get to like 35 sec. Now i do think its pretty but remember for that time your only looking at a honest 20% increase, thats pitty to me. I say change it to 30% and make it stack or atleast 20% and stack on all lix etc. it's not a huge amount and honestly i dont think it would be that amazing still but it would atleast serve a purpose.

Imo for the average player who levels to the end game.. Has, atleast on our server a good amount of haste lix available to them to satisfy most needs of the game.

Yes, but the real issue is the cd for the rapid skill, in lower levels that is. it equalizes out at 40/40. That said, wouldn't be a bad idea to make it more potent.

Even at 50 your looking at 35ish secs of only 20% more haste. So dl bow is 2800 and with haste ring your at 1960 speed and with rapid shot your 1400. Now..

1960 speed with 35 sec is 17.8 hits
1400 speed with 35 sec is 25 hits

Thats only a difference of 8 hits in 1 min with max rapid shot. Since skills are cd of 15 secs and you get 4 hits in 1 min and let's assume your str build and average 1k hits.

8,000 dmg divided by the 4 hits = 2,000 hits. Now if i were to max long shot i know mine does more than 2k dmg a hit so I'd prefer that over rapid. If i obviously auto 1k my double will hit that 2k and on end game a 100% hit is priceless. So imo no matter the situation rapid is kinda pointless especially for the plat user. It needs to stack.

I remember back in v2 where rapid was worth it.
