That I announce the retirement of "Ericus" from this game.

Most of you don't know me, some of you do.

To those that do-
It has been a pleasure and thank you for enduring me.

To those that don't-
This means nothing.

Particular thanks to all members of Ancients - this clan was all I ever aimed for.

Very particular thanks to: Sabre( for being a true friend), Dadizbad (for being another), Fry (for making me realise), Sam ( Who? Me?).........
This list could go on for a long time so I am stopping now. You ALL know who you are.

I may visit, I probably won't.

Take care y'all and don't do anything that Ericus wouldn't.

Ericus-
I waited to write this until such time as I could do a proper job of it.
To say "you will be missed" is such an understatement.
You were a friend and ally to all, regardless of level. A true gentleman.
And, you helped expose a new generation to Monty Python. I don't know where I will go for my fix now.
Although this isn't a eulogy, here are four quick Ericus stories:
1. The two of us in an epic battle to the death with Manus Blackstone in the catacombs. (wow,how long ago could THAT have been.....).
2. My first "thunder run" into Otherworld with you. You're doing two-hit kills on Kelpies, and I'm trying not to die, hoping they don't spot little old me over there.
3. The time a mutual aquaintance of ours was convinced that I was actually one of your alts, and would not believe otherwise. Now that was weird....
4. The time I spotted some boss....I forget which. I call it out, and the usual swarm shows up. I'm at least 30 or maybe 40 levels below the next lowest guy in the group. Someone says "Dad ungroup", which I was ready to do. All Ericus says is- "he stays".......no further comment from the group. I stayed.
Your sense of humor, fairplay and camaraderie epitomized, to me, what it means to be in clan Ancients.
Let's face it, we don't keep coming back to this game because of the awesome graphics and variety of gameplay. For me anyway, it's the people.
I wish you and your family the best "in real life", and your original post notwithstanding, I hope you will check in with us occasionally.
Lugh will be a poorer place without you, mon vieux.
