Sanctuary skill

Before I Max out the skill, I want to know how much damage it protects you from. If you guys have the skill, tell me how much it shields you from, and how many points you have on the skill

i had a lv 45 druid and the sanctuary skill i had was 5/15 with 180 focus max natures magic ability negated 73 damage. not spectacular, just good for softening hits.

I love sanctuary. Allows you to get some vital spells out that would normally be interrupted, and blocks damage. Its my regret That I dont have it maxed, but some is better then none.

This skill basically sucks. High level mobs can get rid of the shield in one swooping attack.

personally i dun really fancy this skill , it really suck to the core! u wont b able to withstand a single blow for high lvl mob and boss.. mayb can keep u alive a round even its max skill, but second hit u r done to the floor before u could heal yourself. not even worth a half of mage energy shield ..

personally I removed this skill, as I found it didn't really benefit at bosses where the damage is huge, with it being close to maxed I was still taking damage on an aoe hit. Even worse is when the boss calls adds, that 300 or so damage shield isn't going to save your ass :D A better option to use I found is calm, which works pretty good even at level 1, albeit with armour bonuses.

On the leveling front, to me anyway, not worth the energy costs and casting time to be gone after one or two hits from a mob, this is dual devicing (warrior) and solo playing.

Atm I'm trying bless, I'm feeling a little better about this skill. The energy costs are a lot less, and with the chance to completely avoid skill hits makes this an almost winner in my book. At 30/35, I am starting to see the real benefits now. It would be even better as a group buff.

The only draw back is at lower levels it's almost useless, with no discernable benefits.

I've been trying out a build with 300ish dex, 30 hw, and 30 sanc and I can say that I don't really use sanc all that much. I dodge enough to get skills cast without a ton of interruption with just the dex and howling wind. What kills sanc for me is 1) the high energy cost and 2) the cooldown being too slow. In a normal build I would say that it also doesn't protect from enough damage, but with this build I don't get hit a lot anyways so sanc usually stays up for the full 30 seconds while I am soloing.
