In beta, many of us felt it was a little underpowered. Comparing it to the mage shield, not only did it block a certain amount of damage but it was also a short timer. Many of us wanted to change it to either last a little longer or the best suggestion (to change it from mage shield) was block all damage for that short time. Unfortunately this didnt happen but I believe they buffed it a little bit.
Actually we wanted it to do what admin said it would do which and this was literally what was posted about shield wall as a a description: shield wall protects the user from all damage for a short period of time. By this we assumed we would be able to take all damage during the affect but when it was introduced it had a damage limit. So instead of protecting from all damage it only protected up xxxx amount of damage.
When it was first introduced the protection was also measly at 40 it barely stopped 1.5k damage but they boosted this. While it got boosted it still did not do what was stated by OTM themselves because bosses can easily break this this does not mean it protects all damage.
Honestly i like shield wall but i wish OTM stuck to what they said themselves instead of stating one thing then making a skill completely inferior and not once correcting the original statement about the skill.

Have you been hit by hrung and his adds direct on? when i was 148 i went to him and got hit 3k from adds then 10k by hrung with full frost....
U are completely under lvled and under geared which was why u got hit so much on a real tank at the proper lvl and equipment hrung does 700-1.5k autos and 2-4k skill hits.
