I spent a lot of gold to improve my ability to solo Killian. I have 100 hp regen (40 amulet, 45 bracelets, 15 ring) and 65 energy regen (40 amulet, 25 offhand).

I could solo Killian without a problem using max eshield, fire bolt, firestorm, fire attune, and the rest in lure of fire.

When i had only 40 hp regen, i couldn't solo.

Killian took me awhile to kill because i only used firestorm a couple times as the energy demand would require an energy lix i would rather not use.

I currently don't have eshield and havent tested Killian without it. I am doubtful i can do it. I am a lvl 182 mage.

I am considering the purchase of the elder blade, which i believe would greatly improve my solo ability vs Killian.

FWIW, I complained until I was blue in the face during beta that no support toon would be able to kill Killain. To no avail.

I have given up doing the gladiator.

I agree fully im lvl 191 mage and without my freezing or sigils i to would not be able to kill killain
Also when my freeze does avoid i normally die so even with freeze at times i still die with sig/freeze method fix the dam mages otm!

All level 170+ mages should have at least 3k health. HP regen is so important for soloing Killian. You can stack update 4 regen with update 3 regen.

i was able to solo Killain at 173 just added on my HP. at 180 got no prob at all. also almost all the time in Lugh someone always at the arena to give u a hand so that helps a lot too.

I usually don't have a problem killing Killian but I'm also running 3.4K hp and around 1500 hp sigils. I use all ice except for bolt; 50 shards, 17 ice lure, 37 freeze, 49 blast, 45 ice attune, and 45 bolt.

He's very easy. Trick is 50-100 dex, high focus, low vitality and energy shield. Eboost reccomendended too, and so is COF. You can be an ice or fire mage and killian can be done with no stress and alot faster than any rogue can kill.

Let me add on, I suggest using eshield and waiting untill your energy is full to go at him. Make sure to time when your gonna run out of energy (if you do..)and put on your energy regen items while casting cloak of fire. Melee him untill you have another eshield and enough energy, use the eshield, then cloak. Lure, and use your blasts untill he's dead. Also dont listen to anyone that believes vitality is the trick to him when it's infact having eshield and high energy.

Correct Drizzt - i am just about level 194, full dps build with probably the best gear you can get, and i cannot solo killian (24 levels below me)

my build is: 50 shards, 50 blast, 49 attune, 50 eshild, 40 lure which is about the max dps you can have in the game currently, and I cannot kill it unfortunately.

Full dps is stupid, hybrid yourself

got the new focus ammy with the extra sheild skill.. helps a lot, almost 196 now
