Re: How to ask high levels for help

Great!! Could this please be sticked somewhere? Or maybe mailed to everyone under level 100 on Lugh

I agree with the second request mail this to everyone in game lol.

As to the op, I LOVE this! I also enjoy helping lower lvls a lot, (the noob grapevine is super fast, everyone asks for help lol). However I always do almost the exact same things as you specified. I only help if I am not busy, if its a non useful boss (such as the met quest ones), and if they are polite and specify what they want in the first sentence or two.

LOUD APPLAUSE

I used to help noobs all the time. Then I learned that with many noobs, helping them once is opening a Pandora's box of nagging that lasts forever or until you block them.

I've been called every name in the book by noobs I've helped but have declined to help at another time.

I don't exist to help you. If I'm available to help and wish to do so I will. Acting as if it's my job to work for you is a very good way to get blocked.

Yesterday's Obnoxious Noob of the Day award went to the noob who kept begging for FREE knowledge elixirs. PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ! I had to block her to make her go away.

what I dont like is someone who sends you a friend invite and immediately after you accepted it, he wants your help by inviting you to group or by asking for stuff. It shows the invite has an ulterior motive and not that the person really wants to be your friend. I will always accept the friend invite out of politeness but will not help straightaway.
