To me I don't see the elder blade as an option for rogues, it offers hp regen(useless for the most part), crappy damage, focus and vit...., and the beloved 25 energy regen. Now let's compare to a dagger of bounty, also giving the useless hp regen, 250 attack, high damage with poison, and the same amount of energy regen.

My question is what's pushing you to buy an elder blade over the bounty? You like 80 focus over 200+damage and 250 attack? Lol

having 300 dmg with bounty dagger isnt as much as having 300 dmg with elemental axe, why? since 220 of the dmg is pierce, physical in other words, that highly resisted type of dmg isnt as nice as it seems, unless ofc u got a lure of assassins with u
but 80 poison dmg is really decent, attack is nice, then again i cant say exactly why kiy prefer the blade over other offhands, all ik is that shes prob doing better than most rogues here with bounty dagger, idk how much it matters but kiy has essence blade, i cant say that 1k extra heal is as crap as useless health regen

Who doesn't have pierce lure on a boss? That's all that matters, anyways if you compare damage between elder and bounty you're doubling it with the bounty. You also get a bonus 250 attack, and the same amount of energy regen, that definitely beats out 80 vit/focus for a rogue rofl. Feels like you're blatantly insulting all rogues on your world by saying someone with that offhand is beating others with clearly higher dps capabilities.

Theres always assassins lure on bosses? Sure? Any boss? Always? I dont think so, not to mention that bosses prob got very high armour, which means higher resists, and if for lvling u need maxed physical lure, i guess that for bosses u will need a lil more

Yesterday, I bought the dagger of slaying, and I think that it is the best weapon for a rogue. I lost 130 damage (as shown on stats page) I had used the lvl 100 axe before, but my auto remains basically the same, and the regen increases my overall damage output.

actually no matter what warrior, rogue axes are to be used as a combo for both skills and autos. i testes preupdate all 3 offhands from scavenger with the exact same builds Golden trident gave me more skill damage compared to the other offhands, gold dagger gave me highest auto compared to others and the golden blade did the best of both worlds more skill damage than dagger, more auto then trident so if it works the same way as scavenger not counting the primal blade the axe would still be somewhat better especially for a rogue with dex based skills, thus making the axe a better offhand.

Sure, but what good is that extra skill damage if you can't continually cast those skills? Will you wait for your energy to regen? Will you just keep going using auto? The answer is simple: the dagger is just better UNLESS you can afford lots of energy regen in other spots AND energy sigils.

those blades arent my favorite, i myself dont like using it mostly since i dont mind wasting pots for more dps, but, i wont say its NOT an offhand for rogues, its an offhand for rogues, i used kiykiy as an example lots of times, since shes the best example i can show u, im pretty sure she knows as well as ik this is not the best one dps wise, but kiy still had amazing dps with that, and i dont like someone else saying that its wrong, without trying ,without even knowing the player whos using that offhand

many rogues use that offhand at belenus, not just kiy, they're not some crap dps, saying they are is annoying for me, for the same reason it would have been annoying if someone would tell me that

you're more than welcome to suggest, to share opinion, but not to decide whos a good dps and whos not, when u never seen him before
for me, i like the axe better, i like having high melee, stat bonus, and the attack bonus is decent as well. As a warrior i like my dps, while having 3949 attack, an 4591 attack on a combo, which means i barely miss a hit
i dont want ppl to say that this offhand isnt valid for rogues, thats why i asked him if he ever tested it, if he did, and he couldnt get good dps results, then he doesnt know how to use it, others do, and others can keep high dps with great durability
i have pretty much same opinion as UpToYou's, but i wont say its crap offhand, when i see with my own eyes how others are able to have such great builds with that (more rogues, less warrior, altough i have a friend which is great warrior who used essence blade)
tried not to keep arguing or talk in kiy's name, mostly since we have different opinions, but kiy would prob be an example i would use the most, as a great rogue, and also as being the only rogue from belenus on forums (belenus sucks on forums activity, they dont know how to register)

crim i did not say the blades are crap sorry if i didi or didint the only good ones are the life and essence to me tho on my warrior i used a life blade for the 500 heal skill and used dmg lux instead of the regens which was fine i found it great. i also tried on my rogue with axe he is better personally! i am fine with my earth ammy and scav energy brace i am able to spam skills for now atleast and even then i still have great auto for energy regen to be decent i also have 200 energy sigs and 300 hp sigs so if i have to ill wait for 1 tick then back to fight. i will almost never wait for my sigils however if i run out of energy and not health ill auto till im at 25% hp then resto and bam more skill spam. When it comes to training i rely on my mix of auto and skills dmg to get faster kills. as a lower level rogue i used a trident for more skill dmg since it had str and dex with defesne and regen.

What I'm wondering is everyone is hating the axe :| well it gives str which u could spend on dex... Also gives good dmg i personally use it on my druid lol and have 400 dmg without it i have around 157 dmg.

Ahh so the immature child's true form is revealed, resorting to insulting when he can no longer back his opinion. Sounds like you've been following supadupachalupa's dps guide if 80 focus/vit beats 250 attack for you. You definitely were insulting your rogues on Belen's because that blade is NOT for dps and with any other offhand you'll have MUCH better dps capabilities. How could you be so quick to say your worlds rogues are better than I am, you don't even know anything about my rogue but you like to talk smack. Your ignorant opinion doesn't mean anything because you won't look at stats for comparison, you'll just think 'damn kiykiy uses it a lot, must be good' or 'all the rogues on Belenus use it(probably copying kiykiy) must be good' Well let me tell you something, it is good for it's own purposes but NOT for dps which is what you've been trying to argue.

You talk about bosses 'probably' having high armour. They do, that's why it's be smart for your mages to have pierce lure on ALL bosses, it speeds up everything significantly just like it does on my world.

- Essence blade is good for DURABILITY. HEALTH. ENERGY. TANKING. YAY FOR TANKING

- bounty is good for MODERATE DPS. ENERGY. MODERATE DAMAGE. ATTACK. YAY FOR NOT MISSING.

- axe is good for HIGH DPS. ATTACK. BIG MELEES. YAY FOR KICKIN' ASS LIKE IT'S 1989
