Skill Build for lvl 69 Ranger? I have Hero Gloves, Ammy and Gold Quiver.

I also have every Ranger Skill.

Oh I knew you would show up sometime! Well depending on what your looking for... but ill give you a nice assortment:

If your dex build:

DPS skill set:
Sharp Shot
Light heal
Longshot or steady aim
Sharpen or steady aim
Double shot at 1
Rapid at 1

With bolas (non DPS):
Bolas at lvl u need it to be (10 lvls above your own)
Sharp shot
Light heal
Longshot (preferable on lower lvls at least) or Steady Aim
Sharpen or Steady Aim
Double shot at 1
Rapid at 1


For Str build:

DPS build:
Steady Aim
Light heal
Sharpen
Double shot at the lvl u need it to be (10 lvls above your own)
Extra points in skill of your choice (rapid might be a good option, except for the long cd [tyvm OTM... ], or longshot/Sharp shot)

with bolas (non DPS)
Bolas at lvl u need it to be (10 lvls above your own)
Light heal
Steady Aim
Double Shot at lvl u need it to be (10 lvls above your own)
Extra points in sharpen
Rapid at 1

The heroic ammy will probably keep the dps builds working, but you may want to add a ring of energization or a energy regen brace (10 pointer from ow lux shop- 5 pointer is a waste for brace slot), and if you go the bolas route you will need to add the 10 tick energy regen brace for sure and also perhaps the ring.


If you would like more details as for which skill for which reasons just ask.

Why is Longshot suggested over Barbed Shot for a DEX DPS builds without Bolas? Without Bolas, Longshot gives you one hit. While Barbed can be cast 2 or 3 times per fight, giving you 2 or 3 times the damage output from a skill.

What do you guys think?

Longshot is better dps than barbed

Ok, I have waffled between the two because of the range restriction on LShot, but maybe Ill go back to it and see how it works out.

To be perfectly honest both barbed and longshot are crap. That said, longshot is the least crappy of the two.

Also notice I suggested perhaps steady aim instead, which is a constant dmg and attack boost.

How would I go about a dex build, and would that be best choice?

Anyone?

i dont see how can longshot be a bad starting hit, it doesnt match sneaky yet its powerful, pins the mob, and very fast cooldown, not to mention its both dex based and dmg based + with bolas it can be used over once per mob
