The only reason Vulture was "outdpsed" at the event boss is becuase it is an ice dragon and has extremely low fire resistance. Ten minutes before we killed the dragon, we killed Hrungnir, and Vulture got the kill then. I am pretty sure there was not even a pierce lure up either.

All petty differences aside, I agree that mages do not need to have damage increased.
However, the problems that all classes have with evasions and skill fluctuations are not insignificant. Casters just have more difficulty because their auto attack is pretty much a nonfactor.

The problem with an ice build (like furyion's) as the skills stand now is that the damage was decreased significantly but the cooldowns were not decreased at all to compensate.

Personally I could not care less about PVP. If anything, the whole PVP system needs to be revamped. There should be no one or two hit kills in pvp (of characters at comperable levels of course).

People get killed in one or two hits because they do not have enough hp to do pvp, if you are having trouble with ice mages, get a cold resist bear hat, mage attacks are crap if they can't remove your resistance.

e shields used to be focus based but when nerfed when blast was nerfed in early update 4. i would be fine if OTM just made mages how they were before this nerf. the blast damage was so much better. and to think of it if there is a reason to be ice (high damage) than there would be more diversity. more of a choice. the game sometimes seems to be very fire biased at times. an example being obsidian armor which only grants fire magic. and yes fire magic or ice magic is very important for chance to hit and also damage.

i also petition OTM to get rid of the 100 strength requirement on the superior spellsword so mages can use it. also please make it 1 handed :)
You don't play the game, neither does anyone else in this thread clearly. I duelled an ice mage yesterday, had 5080 hp, he froze me with the new staff and 1 hit me with ice blast. Stop whining like little idiots and play the game, you don't need more damage you just need to stop being stupid.

Yep, one of the few mages who actually realize she plays a good class and doesn't whine about insignificant problems. Or in other words, problems that don't exist.
No don't get me wrong there are some problems for mages however, skill damage is definitely not one of them.

@Vulture, now i agree with some things, first, skills dmg shouldnt get higher for mage, that isnt the mages' problem, if dmg was their problem i would say this class is useless. The problems in this class are armour, evasions and energy. Energy issue is known, happens to every class, evasions really screw mages since they got skills only (or mostly), and armour.... Yes the armour sucks, big time

as for pvp i cant 100% agree with u, its pretty obvious that u can easily get one or two hit in pvp here, but also 5k hp isnt enough for u to survive on pvp, u need resists, like u got armour against melee, u will need elemental resists against casters, as suggested, a bear helm would reduce the mage's dmg by a lot.

yet, resists, armour, health, all of that doesnt matter, the pvp in this game is even less balanced than pve, the pvp is the least balanaced pvp ive ever seen in any game, so instead of saying its ur hp, mages' dmg or something, the problem in pvp is the pvp itself, that is why u shouldnt give a crap about pvp to prevent more useless nerfs like that

Look dude, seriously, you gotta chill out. For some reason you have a very arrogant approach toward this game. its only a game.

when ever anything doesnt go your way like if you get beat in PVP, you complain how the other class cheated or they were overpowered or some other excuse. And then when someone else complains or even writes how skill damage should be increased etc., you jump all over the topic and write how they are whiners and wrong.

im not trying to make be a jerk here but seriously man.

Well back to the original topic. i dont whine, i can play my class fine, i just think that mages need to be re evaluated on some things. thats all

I've yet to complain about a cheater, why do you choose to blatantly lie? Are you trying to insult me all the while you say you aren't trying to be a jerk? Please show some evidence where I complained about a cheater, I don't even care much about pvp, I just like to duel people for the hell of it as rank really means nothing when there's level 100's that will always have a higher rank than you due to the over abundance of players in that range. Back to cheating, there's no way to cheat in a duel other than popping a combo before the start and in that case I wouldn't be angry; guy just wasted 8k for nothing and the fact he went that far just to beat me says something.

Are you talking about where your brother used his freezing staff? I didn't complain or call him a cheater, I simply stated it was OP for duelling which it is and he knows it.

Yes, it seems logical that when someone replies to a topic you are active in that you would reply no? I'm completely 'chill', I honestly laughed at where you said people are afraid to post. Why would they be afraid? We're all entitled to our own opinions, it's up to you to prove yourself. The funniest part is that the only people who have problems with damage were extremely vague with details, and I can guarantee the problem isn't the skill but the player. Many mages on this thread have actually disagreed with the OP as well and would like various things like a better e shield, or more armour, or less evasions.

IMO mage dps is fine even with the nerf skill damage is better than it was before update. I would just like to see 2 changes; evasions decreased those are just ridiculous sometimes (8 evades in a row) and our hits be more consistent. For example, first hit on a 189 mob 8k next hit 4k at least let be some what close.
