ok, just wondering if anyone else feels the rate of evasion from mobs, not bosses, is just a tad bit over the top.
While I hesitate to say skills shouldn't evade at all, right now, a succession of skills can be evaded. My personal best is 5 skills in a row evaded.
Maybe it's because I play druid, but without great melee damage, any evades is sorely noticed, and due to the fact that every bit of energy is needed, multiple evades in a row means either pots used or idols used.
Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#2If you've ever played as a caster you know that your skills evade half the time, get interrupted all the time, and because of all the evades your energy is completely gone while melee class's auto attack keeps going and going and going... Two of my favorite caster jokes are
1) you know you're a druid when you run out of energy before the boss fight even starts (this is actually true. happens to me all the time)
2) My skills are evading so much, I was thinking natures touch was going to miss

#4I've had 6 evades with Rupture when I was soloing Brutus...it resulted in a death at the "r" in Brutus...

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#5Technically, im a rogue but i like to think of myself as a caster because of my lack of melee, and abundance of required energy regen (should a lvl 107 really need 190 out of combat regen and still run out quite fast?)
My personal best is when im lixing all my damaging skills turn red, (casted) and there's no difference in the mobs hp

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#6I agree skills evade a lot, and casters have the most problem. I could not agree more that druids and mages live and die by their skills. Rangers, rogues and warriors have the bonus of strong auto attacks, so when they run out of energy they don't have a problem. But when mages and druids run out of energy (or miss often) they are dead, in part to low armor, but mainly to the fact they are useless with no energy.
Another topic is mobs resists, but thats not really as big a problem.

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#7As a melee class we hv non-evadable and non-interuptablr and quite poweful Double Attack skill.
So maybe mage and druid could have at least one or maybe 2 non-interupt able and/or non evadable skills? No?
Thanks

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#8Skills should have a reduced cool down and energy cost if they are evaded/resisted.

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#9usually a mob evades 2 out of 10 skills. seems okay for me.

Re: mobs ability to evade skills
#10I think that either the relative-evasion component is too insignificant or the literal ability to evade skills efficently has been granted to mobs loosely. Maybe some logical variation to some mobs would do the trick. For example, reasonably bulky creatures such a golems and firbolgs should not be able to evade incoming physical or spell attack skills efficiently. This is where relative-evasion comes in to prevent players that are 15 levels lower than a mob from landing all their skills in succession while allowing players of similar to higher level the proper consistency to accurately hit mobs with skills, assuming players actually take the time to raise their abilities for the use of actually improving during combat etc. This also supports the idea that a level 180 with maxed evasions should not be missing their skills on level 70s very often.
